“Fair food and service”
Reviewed October 12, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

A family restaurant chain, serving reasonable food in a friendly atmosphere. Always good music playing in the background and some classic photos on the walls. Always clean and tidy and the food is of a good standard. I like the fact they have lower calorie choices with the calorie content listed on the menu too.
Slightly annoying is when someone is celebrating a birthday and the lights go down, the music is suddenly very loud for happy birthday/ congratulations.

“Mew obviously arrived at the end of the rush..”
Reviewed October 10, 2013 via mobile

Tables covered In pots, ignored by staff.

Watched my food being made, it then sat for 5 minute while the team chatted right next to it. Parted, came back and finally served it. I would assume if you wanted to get finished the service would have been quicker? I've never had a bad experience here, and I'm always looking for somewhere nice to eat out in this town. Sadly, since the staff have been cut, service has failed too.

“Good place for breakfast”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

Frankie & Benny's is clean & the service is good. It has a nice atmosphere with music and pictures on the walls. The food is good & the prices are reasonable, especially breakfast which is only £5. The restaurant is only 50yds from Scunthorpe Travelodge, so is an ideal place to have breakfast if you are staying there.

“Breakfasts - varying experiences. Lunch ok”
Reviewed October 2, 2013

Breakfast early-doors (pre 9am) seemed to give good service and food. Coffee was a bit bland so we asked for stronger ones and they were great. Food was excellent.
Second time we visited around 11am and the experience couldn't have been further from the 1st. The beans were tepid, tomato barely touched the grill, black pudding the same and the bacon was terrible. Not very well cooked and streaky. This has made us think twice about going for breakfast again. Breakfast is two for a tenner with no drinks included. Drinks (refillable coffee) is about £1.50 each on top of that. Service easily allows for 2 coffees to be consumed.
Today we went for lunch and it was ok. we were allowed to mix and match utilising the 2 courses for £8.?? allowing two of our party to eat starters and two to eat mains. The food was just okay. It wasn't particularly enough to make me want to go back there. The price for this light lunch meal option (as we saw it) and drinks for 4 of us - £30 odd quid. Hmm seems steep.

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

We went on a lunch time & had the lunch menu its very good value with unlimited soft drinks for a small extra fee. The starters, mains & deserts all where well served & cooked, in fact the food was excellent. We did not find the food bland in any way at all the staff gave excellent service too.
