“worth a visit”

you enter the coffee shop through the garden centre, when you enter if you turn immediately left their is a lounge for sixteen people with comfortable leather armchairs, the toilets are also in this area,on the same level ,as the lounge there is seating for another 60-70 people, this area is bright, roomy and airy and because of this the paintings on the wall(for sale by local artists )do not look out of place, down about 4 steps and you are at the counter and another seating area in a very large conservatory all in all it must seat over 100 people plus there is in addition an outside seating area, whilst at the counter looking at the menu i could not see any hot meals other than jacket potatoes as breakfast is served only to 11am.however i did notice that just past the final cafeteria seating there was a very pleasan t 40-50 restaurant called The Redwood,so you could dine in style if you so desired. The cafeteria menu was much like any cafeteria, sandwiches, baguettes ,panninis hot or cold toasties, scones, teacakes etc and a variety of coffees and teas,i thought some of the prices of food were above average although i did not try any.i opted for a pot of tea for two(china pot)and two home made scones cost£6,but both were very enjoyable. Most garden centre cafes thrive on their reputations for food and drink and Botts must have an excellent one as it was very busy at1.15pm on a thursday lunchtime. however a good place to stop and relax.

“Over an hours wait for two sandwiches”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

My mum and I called in on the way through to Lincoln. Coffee shop it's self was clean, we waited a long while in a queue before being served, the lady in front ordered a cake that was advertised for a pound and the girl behind the counter said it was mispriced so she had to choose something else, I though things had to be sold at the price advertised for even if it was a mistake. Whilst waiting, I used the toilets, very dated and not overly clean. We waited over an hour for two sandwich, which were tasty but we didn't get an apology.

“Lovely little eaterie”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

A lovely cafe within the garden centre. It was busy when we arrived and the front of house staff did seem a little disorganised - no tea spoons - so two members of staff went behind the scenes to wash some whilst two chefs looked on....
Hot Chocolate was delicious and homemade cakes gorgeous.
Looking forward to trying the Redwood next door, next time

“Breakfast was just what we needed”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

It was such a lovely morning today in Horncastle so I decided to take my neighbour to Botts for a cup of tea. When we arrived there was such a delicious aroma that we decided to have the early breakfast. This consists of:- egg, sausage, tomato, baked beans,2 rashers of lean back bacon, 2 slices of toast and butter, either white or brown plus tea or coffee. This is all for £4.99 each. When it arrived the plates were hot and the food cooked superbly. The staff are always friendly and helpful and willing to "go the extra mile" eg. taking your tray to your table if you are unable to do so. There is an added bonus that there is no washing up to do afterwards!!. You can also leave your car at the car wash and it will be ready for you when you want to depart., Thank you Botts staff for making it such a pleasure to come to Crowders. The area is clean and bright and airy and the toilets spotlessly clean. This all adds up to a good morning out, ending up with browsing through the garden centre and the gift shop. There are places outside that, in the warmer weather you can sit under parasoles and eat "al fresco".. A place not to be missed.

“Nice food, pity the overcharging left a bad taste”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

Dropped in for an afternoon snack, ordered coffee, tea and two smoked salmon paninis which were on the specials board. Service with a smile from the people behind the counter and the drinks & paninis were excellent with a generous filling of salmon.
We sat in the conservatory, which was warm and comfortable with plenty of space between the tables.
Checking the bill later it was obvious that while the bill detailed correctly what we had eaten and drunk, we'd been overcharged for the Paninis compared to the price on the specials board.
Pity.
