Having being recommended by family and friends,we decided to give it a go on a day out from Lincoln, after a good long walk along the sea front, we called in Mid afternoon on a Thursday we were met and seated by one of the owners Catherine who was smart, well presented who met us with a warm smile and showed us to our table.
She took time to explain how orders were taken and talked us through the menu and specials of the day, very tempting and looked so appetising.

We ordered regular haddock, chips and mushy peas it was with us quickly and served with a smile and enjoy your meal by the waiter. It was freshly cooked to order and was very tasty nicely presented.

Our pot of tea to accompany the meal was also delivered with a smile, on the whole we both know a good piece of fried fish and chips, we were certainly not let down on any of the quality of service , food service and customer care it was a very pleasant experience.

The ambiance, and surroundings were spotlessly clean and tidy with some fine touches of art and prints.

On finishing our meal our plates were cleared away quickly and offered dessert but had enough to eat on our main course .

We highly recommend the Ocean fish bar for their quality service, great food and friendly atmosphere.

We look forward to trying it again soon.

Having been previously impressed with this restaurant took family who were visiting. The Lady who arranges seating was rude and the fish disappointing. There was no difference between jumbo and ordinary.
Will certainly never return .

I couldn't fault the restaurant, it was pristine clean, plenty of room to move around in and good disabled toilet. The fish, chips and mushy peas were piping hot and tasty, we went for the pensioners' special. With a pot of tea and bread and butter, followed by creamy ice cream.

we recently to guests to the Ocean Fish Bar,as we had been to another well known fish resaurant on a different ocasion. We found the chips very pale, and the fish was tastless, no bread, but a brill cup of tea. It just was not up to standard,
I do have a policy never to complain about food,in any restaurant, my policy is ,if its not good, dont go back, and Im affraid we wont be. Sorry

The saying first impressions count is not one familiar to the lady who owns this restaurant. When we arrived we stood at the signpost that says please wait here to be seated, several staff walked past us and did not acknowledge us, eventually we saw a hand go up at the far end of the restaurant, not a smile , a wave, just the hand in the air . The people behind us told us that we should go down to our table, on the way a waitress barged past me, saying she was in a rush because her knives and forks were heavy ??!! We ordered the special which came with cheap white bread and butter, the fish and chips were nice , but I have eaten a better sized portion in Cleethorpes. The special came with icecream, but not the make which is advertised on the table, its from the cheap tub of vanilla in the freezer. We didn't wait long, the young lad who brought the meal was friendly. i would not describe this as an upmarket fish and chip restaurant . Mrs Owner, just a little tip, why not greet your customers at the door and show them to the table.
