My husband and I went to visit family in shepshed in Loughborough, Leicester on the 15th December 2007. The B&B was down a drive off the main road with secure parking if needed. we were met by the chickens and a grey squirrel on the drive the chickens escorted us to the front door when you get inside the security dog Gilly a beautiful german shepherd dog and friend Robbie the springer spaniel are there to meet you.
We were met by Malcolm the owner he explained the set up of the B&B and were shown to our room, the room had en-suite shower room with movement sensative lights in the en-suite with complementary bathroom products, there was a large bed with lovely colour coordinated bedding, coffee and tea facilities along with sweets, biscuits and fruit and we were also asked if we would like a complimentary paper for the following morning.
The following morning for breakfast there was a selection of fruit juices and cereals to help yourself and a menu to choose from for a hot breakfast. Sausage, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes and eggs (done how you like). along with toast, tea and coffee.
Malcolm was an excellent host and local so I am sure that he is full of the local history and surrounding area.
My husband and i would not hesitate to return again in the future, I am sure that in the summer months it is a very good base for visiting a number of places in the leicestershire area it is not far from Donnington races and Alton towers.
