The property is very dated but it is spotlessly clean and very well maintained throughout and it is rather a pleasure to walk into an establishment like this instead of all the new style concrete places that are the trend at the moment.Book in was simple and we were given an upgrade to an executive room which was a pleasant surprise.Room was large and spacious with a large fully working en suite bathroom which had everything needed.Large windows opening onto the back view gave us plenty of fresh air and a decent view.Bed was comfortable and all in all we very very happy with everything. After a long day driving around the local area we decided on room service and that arrived in good time and was a good option with a large selection to choose from.First night we only ordered sandwiches but the second night of our stay ordered steaks which arrived again in good time and cooked as we asked a very pleasant end to another long day.
Breakfasts also OK and there was plenty of choice all presented at leisurely pace and it was good quality food cooked to your request. There is a very large car parking space so no problems there as it was free and safe.
This place does what you would expect and will not break the bank to stay for a night or two

I had booked a room on laterooms - However the hotel were under the impression I had booked 2 rooms. In the morning the manager was very aggressive about the 2nd room, I had not booked and said that I had to pay for it. He was argueing with me while I tried to have breakfast
I contacted laterooms and the matter was eventually sorted out in a satisfactory manner.
I would never stay at this hotel again because of the customer service.
Hotel was clean and bed comfortable, but the decor was very dated.

Room Tip: I would never stay at this hotel again

The guest made two bookings on late room. booking nos 26754947r and 26754865r on the same day.we had a doudt ( some times the customers do make a mistake ) and therefore rang back late room and they confirmed that they were indeed two different bookings.
when the guests checked in, the manger informed them that they had two rooms . The guest denied it and said that they had only booked one room .Next morning during breakfast this fact was brought to the notice of the guest who was very rude in front of all the guests ( infact other guests apologiged for their rudeness). they were then shown both different bookings made at different times with two different booking numbers. the guest then rang up late room who told them that they had indeed booked two rooms and informed the hotel in a conference call with the guest on one line that it was the mistake of the guest. The guest accepted her mistake . The hotel lost a room ( we were fully booked ) and even did not charge the guest.

This is a dated property which although well presented, needs moving on 40 years into 2014. In particular the bed in my room which was like sleeping on the floor - so much so my back has still not recovered. Bathrooms are adequate - usual issues - blocked shower heads, shower curtains that are not long enough. Why don't the operators routinely stay in the rooms and encounter what customers experience??

The restaurant is a mixture of Asian and European but the smells are well managed and for those who are not curry fans - there are no unpleasant odours. The Indian food is quite good and the price fair. Service is hard to judge as there was no one else in. Bar prices are unnecessarily high.

Breakfast is a real disappointment, cheap ingredients and the coffee is simply dreadful.

There is nothing really wrong with this place, but when you sit down to write a review, there is nothing of note to write about - apart from the bed!

It is OK!!

I mainly choose this hotel for its location, just around the corner from my appointment, and its good reviews on TripAdvisor. I was not disappointed. Though the building is a bit dated, everything was in good order and the service was good as well.

4 of us (2 couples) stayed at the Quorn Lodge last weekend whilst in the area for the Kasabian gig in Leicester.

I have to say we were pleasantly surprised with the Quorn Lodge, my husband and I were upgraded to a room at the front of the house, really big, light and airey with a very comfortable 4 poster bed!

The staff were extremley pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was also lovely.

Overall would recommend the Quorn Lodge.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The room was at the back, very quiet and clean but a little dated (decor). The location is good as walking distance to the town centre.
We decided to have a meal at the hotel and chose from the Indian menu which stated food was authentic. We were very disappointed when all the courses arrived. The meals were bland and in our opinion was ready made meals from the local supermarket. That was £50 thrown down the drain. Breakfast the following morning's were great and served by a lovely friendly lady. We would stay here again however WON'T be eating from the Indian menu again.
