“Nice hotel”
Reviewed October 21, 2013 via mobile

Spent an evening at the Quorn Lodge room was large and beds comfy and yes there was a peach bathroom but the bath was huge i wish I had time to test it out shower could do with replacing but it did its job. Breakfast was nice usual grapefruit, cereal etc and a full English with toast.
Would like to thank Truda for all her help and for been warm and welcoming as we were travelling with a very young baby. Would certainly stay there again.
Many thanks Mr & Mrs Haines and Matthew

If you need a hotel within a stone's throw of Melton Mowbray's town centre, then you can't really go wrong with this.

(1) It is good value for money
(2) It cooks excellent Indian Food (with staff from India and proper home-made recipes)
(3) Free parking (not often the case in town centres these days)
(4) Excellent, very helpful service making you feel welcome
(5) Free, fast wifi

The hotel is a little old (very 1970's style decor) and the rooms are a little eclectic in shape and size (although clean with good beds)

Definitely would stay again

Very friendly, comfortable, clean hotel. Staff are very helpful and welcoming. Good location with a short walk to the town centre. Restaurant very clean and they cook a great breakfast. Would definitely recommend this hotel as the best one we have stayed in so far in Melton and will definitely be staying here again.

This hotel is great value for money, it is very comfortable, clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast! We were in a twin bed which had the largest twin beds we have ever stayed in, very comfortable. It is a two minute walk into the town where there are a few bars, eating places and shops. I would highly recommend!

Room Tip: We stayed in a twin room 21, great size very comfortable, very little noise. Free parking

On our way home after a tour of southern England, we popped in to Melton Mowbray to try and find some digs as there was a beer festival on in town. We drove up and down almost every road that led to town, but did not see any B&B or Hotel signs. We were about to give up when we saw 2, the 1st one was VERY pricey, the 2nd was the Quorn Hotel. Parked up in the large car park at the back and walked in expecting this place to be a bit expensive too.
Lovely reception area the receptionist was friendly and helpful, giving us directions to the festival.
Nice spacious room and bathroom.5 minute walk to town, plenty of pubs and food outlets.
We had a comfortable sleep in a nice quiet room.

Room Tip: Don't forget to hand your keys in when you leave.

This Hotel is quite tired in terms of it's decor, however it makes up for it in customer service.

I stayed one night during a business trip. I arrived late afternoon and was provided with the Honeymoon Suite. The lady who checked me in was very welcoming.

I havd good wifi access, which is critical to me when working away.

It is slightly strange in that you can order room service but need to pre-order to ensure that this can be catered for around the restaurant bookings. I ordered the Scampi and it was delivered ahead of time and was delicious. There appear to be several menus to chose from.

I decided to work from the room the next morning and this made me slightly late for breakfast arrinving at 9.15 am (Breakfast stops at 9 am). The gentleman on reception however did arrange for cereal, coffee and toast but the Chef was not able to cook anything as he was preparing for lunch.

As I said the Hotel is a bit behind the times but the people I met were very friendly and wanted to make my stay a good one.

We had to go for a 65th and 18th birthday. Hotel was Really nice and cozy. Family friendly. Fantastic breakfast. We arrived late the night before and were accommodated with a smile. Staff are really nice and friendly and they go out of their way to ensure you are looked after.
Lovely fruit trees in the hotel! Definitely will stay here again.
