“Annual Membership Good Value but a Few Improvements Needed”
Review of Conkers

Conkers
Reviewed May 29, 2013

We have an annual membership to Conkers and my three year old loves it, therefore we are regular visitors. It is a great and varied day out, and a good mix of indoor and outdoor activity. The interactive element of the discovery centre is excellent, and the outdoors areas are well maintained, however there are a couple of improvements needed, firstly more thorough maintenance in the discovery centre, there are a number of things not working, or not working properly which gives the impression of being slightly dated. Additionally the food in the café is unappetizing and the queuing system slow. There are however plenty of nice picnic areas so I would recommend these.

Conkers is a mainly outdoor activity centre, with a range of activity trails, equipment for the children (and adults!) to climb on and explore. It is set in a large forest with plenty of peaceful walks. There is also an excellent indoor discovery centre which is very educational, as well as great fun for the children. A train takes you from one side of the centre to the other. It is definately a place to go on a dry day, as most of the centre is outdoors. A family ticket at £29 provides tremendous value

We had a lovely day out here, kids thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the assault course aimed at teenagers and adults. The indoor science interactive area was good. Definitely need good weather to really get the most out of the day. Visit the website before going to get 10% off your entrance fee.

If you have small children then they will love it. The play park is good and the train ride is also good although it is only a small ride. This takes you to the main area of the park. Good assault course if you are fit enough. Food is ok. Must have good weather to fully appreciate this place.
