Thank you for taking the time to post this review, I am glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back in the not oo distant future.
I stayed here with work. I have stayed in a few best western hotels before and never had a particularly good experience so didn't except a good stay.
I was pleasantly surprised with the location a nice building set well off a main road and in pleasant countryside. I was quickly checked in with no problems and the room was nice and clean and for the money okay value. Better than staying in a comparable premier inn I would say.
I went for dinner and ordered a set three course meal. The food was dreadful! I had melon balls starter which came out tasting half frozen and not very fresh at all with some sorbet on the top. My main was a mixed grill - the quality of the meat was really bad I took a tiny bike out the fatty little steak and the gammon and pork was tasteless. There were a couple sausages and a piece of black pudding I just left. The dessert was waffles which were actually nice and i ate them all. For £25 with a pint I would definitely advise eating out. I decided to give breakfast a miss!!
There is no gym here but there is a golf course I believe is free.
Overall I would say it was a pretty disappointing stay, relatively cheap, basic room but a quiet and comfortable sleep with very poor quality food.
Thanks for your recent posting

My party of 15 had our 20th annual visit in October and wouldn't go anywhere else. The welcome, service, accommodation and food are all excelllent, as befits a family-owned and run hotel which is celebrating with pride its 30th anniversary this year, We have seen the Mytton Fold grow throughout the years and the love which the family shows for what was their home is demonstrated in the warmth of their hospitality and the high standards they maintain throughout.
Thank you for taking the time to review the hotel and once again thank you for visiting, it is always a plessure to look after the 'regulars; and on this occasion it was no different, here's to next year
We stayed in room 262 which was well appointed and very comfortable - everything we needed was to hand. Having taken advantage of the complimentary golf available after 4pm, we decided to eat in the hotel and enjoyed the 3 course menu on offer. However should you decide not eat in the restaurant there are many local pubs which offer reasonably priced meals. Breakfast was one of the best I have had in a hotel. This area and hotel are well worth a visit.

Yet again this year the Ribblesdale Cricket League held it's annual dinner and Presentation Evening at Mytton Fold.
As ever the staff , both during the run up period, when the final "final" number changed almost daily, and especially on the night itself were helpfulness personified. Attentive at all times and receptive to the subtle changes needed to the running order. Food as good as ever served quietly and efficiently to the 160+ guests.
Already booked for next year

We held my daughters evening wedding party here on 6th October 2012. I can't praise the venue and staff enough.Donna the wedding coordinator was fabulous and Michael the MC managed to keep our party of 170+ guests in order. The weather was perfect too , ideal for photos in the superb gardens. We had a huge number of guests down from Scotland who stayed one and some 2 nights and they were all really well looked after, the whole of the staff are great and really made us feel welcome. We had the celebration menu and the food was delicious and piping hot.We also had a secret piper surprise for the groom and the staff went out of their way to ensure he stayed a secret.Special thanks also go to the technical team who helped us so much .We also had a firework display which was fantastic and again coordinated by Donna.I will readily recommend this venue for a wedding celebration especially if you have a large number of guests who need accommodation, it was just perfect and exceeded our expectations, thanks also must go to Betty and the team at Happy Days who made the room look fantastic.
Thank you again everyone xxxxx
