A lovely little deli on the main road through Gisburn. Walked in at lunchtime and just wanted tea and some cold drinks after a morning walking the Ribbleway. No problem. Tea was plentiful in a large tea pot, a ginger beer and a free glass of cold water. The small cafe was busy even though it was a Tuesday lunchtime. The food I saw people eating looked lovely - generous portions and very fresh. The prices were unbelievably cheap for such good quality.
The home made cakes looked delicious. We returned later that day to pick up some goodies for dinner - a picnic in our hotel room. All were excellent - a fresh salad bowl, a pork pie, olives, bread and of course 2 slices of yummy cake. Would recommend without hesitation.

Thanks very much for your review. We're really pleased you liked your take out. Our pork pies and bread come from a local baker. All the cakes are made in our kitchen. We look forward to seeing you again soon. We have a circular walk round Gisburn, which a customer has put together, pop in for a copy of it.

I visited Delicious with my Husband for lunch on our way to Skipton. This place never fails to impress me with its food and service. I ordered a roast beef salad and my other half ordered a tuna melt. The food was fantastic, my salad came with plenty of rare roast beef and an excellent selection of salad. The tuna melt also came with a dressed salad. The tea is always served in a china teapot and the coffee is always perfect. The is a brilliant little deli and I cannot wait to visit again.

Visited Delicious with my husband and a friend for Saturday lunch yesterday. What a lovely place. We ordered a bacon sandwich, tuna melt panini and a roasted vegetable panini, accompanied by some excellent mugs of coffee, and very reasonably priced, the sandwiches served with a nice fresh side salad and crisps. The previous business was a post office which closed but now it has been taken over by the current owners who have diversified its business to include opening part time each week to serve as a post office. It has day to day essentials like vegetables, fruit, groceries etc. Has a lovely deli counter serving cooked meats, olives, houmous and cheeses, as well as scotch eggs and some awesome looking pies. They have a wine and beer section, sell cakes, pies and ice-cream and of course the cafe which was packed. There were people continually coming in and out of the shop as they also do takeaway sandwiches and as there is a small carpark round the corner is great for parking. I wish I had visited before but will certainly be going back, a fantastic find and it must be a god send for the residents of Gisburn.

Always meant to pop in and investigate but never got around to it. Our loss. We had a great welcome and fantastic food. In fact, this is one of the best cafes we have been to in years. the portions were perhaps too big for our diminishing appetites, so no room for pud, but it was all freshly prepared and the menu had an innovative twist. Definitely would reccommend..

Purchased some lovely "homebaked" cakes from here, Great choice and good value.
We chose to eat in the kids playarea round the corner as was very busy . Clearly very popular with the locals.
