Overall this is a great hotel whether for 1 night or more. A lovely old building with nice décor, it looks deceptively small from the outside.
This trip was work and not play but I booked an executive room which was a great size. We had a fabulous wet room/bathroom and joy of all joys - a superking sized bed. Unfortunately for us, the bed was just too soft which meant we had a rubbish nights sleep but that really is just personal preference.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast menu caters for just about anything you could ask for - everything from the full works and eggs benedict to good old beans on toast - along with cereals, fresh meats, fruits and cheese.
We can also recommend the burgers which we had via room service - yummy!!!!
And to help work off the mountain of food you just ate for breakfast, there is a leisure centre on site. Although time didn't allow us to make use of the facilities, we have been told by work colleagues that it's very nice and offers a wide range of aerobics classes as well as a swimming pool.
