Myself and three friends stayed her last September on a 'Sunday driver' ( round of gold diner bed and breakfast and a round of golf)
We arrived early on the Sunday (9am!!) I asked if we could check in!!!! The receptionist informed us that the rooms were not ready ( bless her) she did however offer to take out luggage until we had finished playing golf. Our round of golf was very enjoyable ( apart from my skills!!) our evening meal was stunning, the garstang blue sauce is out of this world. One thing I will say is that the 'head' barman ( an older gentleman) he seemed to get flustered under pressure and kind of had a tad to much self importance! The other staff are great. We had a few beers and headed to bed. Rooms are very well presented and comfy. The breakfast was a buffet and very good. Overall, the whole package ( location, staff, food, golf etc) are very very good, hence I booked another four ball Sunday driver for this weekend. Can't wait.
