Quite simply the best place to buy your cheese and all the necessary accompaniments....cheeses made on site, local pickles and Chutney, quality biscuits and all the essentials and luxuries such as slate cheese "boards" etc. When travelling on the M6 I now make a point of hitting the A6 between junctions 33 & 32, in order to get stocked up here. Marvelous!

We called in on the way home from holiday and spent ages there watching them make the cheese, the kids loved it, would recommend it to anyone and once you've finished watching them make the cheeses (get there before 12!) you can go downstairs and sample.
We only bought a couple of cheeses but wish we'd bought more, roll on our next holiday in that area

This is the type of cheeses are what this generation of children are missing out on. A good quality, well made cheese
It is worth a visit , just for the range of cheeses , plus associated products and produce.

A group of us recently visited the shop as part of the factory Tour. The tour was taken by Laura who obviously knows her 'cheese' and made the visit very interesting. Well worth doing if you go to the shop. The shop is beautifully modern, clean & well stocked. The emphasis is on Lancashire cheeses and there is a wide range of biscuits, dressings & chutneys. The staff are more than happy to let you try a sample and I would personally recommend the Garstang Blue. The shop is easy to find on the A6 because Dewlay have their own wind turbine ajoining the shop. Parking is ample and access to the shop very easy. You could quite easily drive by and not be aware that there is a shop. I would urge you to visit as the staff are so helpful and not pushy at all.
Whilst the shop is very accessible, if you take the tour, at present, you will have to climb stairs. However, I was told that soon they will be having a lift installed.

This is a delightful shop located on the A6 between Lancaster and Preston. Worth a detour from the M6. Fantastic cheeses and some lovely presents. Staff very friendly and excellent service. If you want to see the cheese making - get there before 12noon. No charge to shop!
