Fleetwood is a lovely town but very small. If its miserable weather this is perfect. Spent a good 3 hours here - lots to see. Made my 18 month old very welcome - lots to touch and even "safety gear" to try on. Little room with a drawing table and toys. Don't miss seeing the Harriet ship - its tucked away in the garden but ask at front desk and they will take you out. Only let down was the price (£3 each) most of these muesums are donation entrance.

If you like history, then this museum is definitely worth a visit. Although a relatively new town, established in 1837, its heritage from the rise to the decline of the fishing industry is important and well covered by the exhibits. Not just somewhere to pass the time on a wet Wednesday in summer, but worth a visit anytime.

I took my 3 grandsons to visit the museum and they really enjoyed themselves. lots to see and have hands on experiences. no one told them off for touching or talking too loud. Lots of praise for very understanding staff.

A really interesting place, explains the search and uses of salt found under the Fylde. We took the grandchildren but really need to go back and do it in more detail, well worth a visit.

Focused on the history of the Fylde coast in general and Fleetwood in particular, this is a little gem. The main exhibition changes every year and the others are perfect in size and scope to inform without overwhelming or having to read reams of information. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and make the visit that much more enjoyable.
