“Lovely cottage, stunning views”
Reviewed May 10, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Visited here as party of 4adults/4 children as close to wedding venue Beeston Manor. Comfortable and well equipped, all as stated in advert. Access is down a very steep narrow road/track to the Barn and good parking shared with the farmhouse and another dwelling. The children enjoyed the garden and watching the animals. The owner invited them to see some lambs being bottle fed which we all loved. With clear skies you can see all the way to the coast and Blackpool Tower from the garden.

“Beautiful homely cottage”
Reviewed April 12, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Myself and family and our dog stayed at Midsummer Barn for a long weekend. The cottage is an absolutely gorgeous, cosey homely place. The views from the gardens are spectacular with many places to walk our dog. The local people are incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. The cottage is situated in an ideal location for visiting many attractions nearby. Thank you to the owner for a fantastic stay. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning :)

“Lovely homeley cottage - marvellous views”
Reviewed March 14, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

We wanted a place to stay whilst visiting my daughter at University in Lancaseter. Rather than book into a htle - we thought a cottage for teh weeekend woudl be just teh job - and we were not disappointed. Spacious, comfortable warm and space for us, mu daughter and my mother who tagged along too.

Very peaceful and a good base from which to explor ethe surrrounding picturesque area. The cottage was well appointed and evrything had been thought of. Woukld cerytainly use again!

So pleased you had a good time. Having travelled with small children, we know how much stuff they need, so we try to provide as much as possible. I'm sorry about the weather you had - unfortunately, that's the one thing I can't control!

“A Little Piece of Paradise on Earth”
Reviewed September 18, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Stayed at Midsummer Barn for 4 nights It was lovely or should I say beautiful in every way. Mixture of the Old and new blended so well. The inside doors are a joy to see and open. Very roomy accommodation that is spotless lots of products to keep it clean too. Pet friendly and Snoopy our Springer Spaniel did make to most of the Lovely Garden. It would be nice if guests brought a cover for the lovely leather settees and wash them on leaving as dogs can leave an odor. Views of the Hills and Dales were Panoramic and the only sounds in the distance was the motorway. Its a Heaven on Earth clean ,warm ,central heating ,lots of hot water and not a fly in sight. At the bottom of the Garden was a lovely Robin. There is a lovely lady called Wissels and this greyhound is a joy to watch and will not refuse any dog biscuits or chicken you may have and believe me she has such a beautiful nature. Perfect helpful Host and lovely decor. Great Neighbors too . It is wonderful value for money and no niggling extras or pound meters. Even the little starters were there i.e. little bar of soap and a lovely bottle of wine home made but do remember to leave the empty bottle for re-cycling/reuse. Thank you for a wonderful break Fr Anthony and Sister Helen Senior Carer
