Owner description: Wellybobs is a family run farm with lots of indoor and outdoor facilities. The emphasis at wellybobs is close contact with our wonderful animals. All our animals are extremely tame and are displayed in clean light conditions so you can meet them and stroke them. We have a petting area where you can meet our little furry critters, this is always staffed to ensure our animals are never mishandeled.Outdoors we have lots more animals and lovely countryside to explore,we have an outdoor play area, which includes our ever popular Zip Wire. We also have a 9 hole mini golf course (extra charge applies). Our indoor play barn features a timber play frame, giant bouncy slide, bouncy castle and toddler soft play zone, we also have a reptile area and go cart track. Moo's cafe serves home made hot and cold food and drinks at very reasonable prices and our ice cream parlour serves delicious ice cream made on a local farm. We also have a party area and gift area.please check our website for seasonal opening times and prices.

Would not recommend at all. Not a cero professional attitude, soft play area is extremely cold for the kids with little to offer.
Very few animals on show, only plus point is that you can hold one of the smaller animals if you wish. However compare this place to Smithhills in Bolton and there's no comparison a much better experience.
In summary wollybobs was a poor experience and overpriced

After reading the negative remarks some people had made, I was a bit apprehensive of going to the farm, but having promised our two young grandchildren (age 8 & 4 ) we had to give it a try, and aren't we glad that we did. All the animals in the barn were so friendly and kept coming to the barrier to be petted, and the children loved stroking them all. We bought some food to feed them all, again the children were delighted to be able to do that. We then went to the Cuddle Corner where the smaller animals were, and the children could chose which animal they wanted to cuddle. All in all, we probably spent an hour and a half in the barn, before going into the cafe. We were pleasantly surprised to find the children's play area there, and a bouncy castle, at no extra cost. Most places we have been to charge extra for these.so in no way did we feel we were being ripped off. The staff were all very friendly, and we left feeling we had thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will certainly return.

I don't usually write reviews but this place was so awful I feel I have to. Shame as we only live a short distance away and I have 2 young kids so could have been frequent visitors. Very expensive to get in - £5 for an adult (why? there is nothing here for adults apart from a few standard farm animals to see, and no adult in their right mind would come without kids). The staff in the small animal bit could not be identified as staff. There weren't many animals to see. There was only one person on the desk in the entrance / café on a busy day, dealing with all the entrance fees, orders for food and making the hot drinks. It took 15 minutes to order our lunch then an hour for 2 slices of beans on toast and a bacon butty to arrive. There weren't enough high chairs considering the likely number of young children visiting and the inside play area for the little ones was grubby. I won't be coming again.

A fancy website makes you think whelly bobs will be well worth a visit. In truth, it's a dirty place with very few animals. The indoor space is dirty and untidy, it is very basic. Kept our 4 year old busy for 10 mins and then he was bored. It's spring, and there where very few animals. Three cows. Two reindeer. Rabbits. Two donkeys. Ponys, you had to pay to ride. We made our visit last 1hr 15mins and we where done. It's not worth £5 each, or even the group on half thing! I'd just go somewhere else, don't let the website fool you.

Purchased a deal on groupon can only say thank goodness I didn't pay full price or I would of been asking for a refund. The place looks like a work in progress nothing's quite finished and there's lots of rubbish just hanging about when there's no need it doesn't cost anything to tidy up and put or give things a place. There are not enough animals for a farm there's not enough to do or see the play area is ok but you'd be better off and it would be in fact cheaper going to a play centre of all the farms I have visited I have never felt so disappointed we left within an hour my little boy found a 4inch nail disgarded on the floor near the reindeers and said look this can be a souvenir of our day trip to wellybobs I was shocked to say the least.
