Owner description: Wellybobs is a family run farm with lots of indoor and outdoor facilities. The emphasis at wellybobs is close contact with our wonderful animals. All our animals are extremely tame and are displayed in clean light conditions so you can meet them and stroke them. We have a petting area where you can meet our little furry critters, this is always staffed to ensure our animals are never mishandeled.Outdoors we have lots more animals and lovely countryside to explore,we have an outdoor play area, which includes our ever popular Zip Wire. We also have a 9 hole mini golf course (extra charge applies). Our indoor play barn features a timber play frame, giant bouncy slide, bouncy castle and toddler soft play zone, we also have a reptile area and go cart track. Moo's cafe serves home made hot and cold food and drinks at very reasonable prices and our ice cream parlour serves delicious ice cream made on a local farm. We also have a party area and gift area.please check our website for seasonal opening times and prices.

“Very disappointing!”

I shall be completely honest here - this farm is rubbish! I visited with my son with a voucher purchased via Groupon. Once you establish where to hand your tickets in there is very little to see or do afteryards.Wellybobs have very little in terms of farm animals. There were 3 cows, 3 pigs, 2 llamas, 2 wallabies 3 goats, 1 horse in an out buildingwhich has a cuddle corner at the opposite end with some rabbits, guinea pigs and about 4 chicks and a lizard! Random! You walk through in about 5 mins. Them outside is an open shed with some owls in. Thats it. If you want a go on the carts which look equally as rubbish, its every hour, same is the pony side and thekeep safari which is basically a pound each to ride around the farm tracks! Theres no where to walk, its very very small and not a reflection of farm life. Money better spent at Smithhills farm, bolton if your looking for a farming experience. It took me nearly an hour to get there and less than an hour to look around!

It doesn't take long to go to this farm, there are hardly any animals, the inside play area is really good though

“Dissapointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2012

The cafe/play area was very chaotic and unorganised, the food was awful.

The main reason for the visit was obviously the animals, but their were very few animals and a very poor selection.

The one positive was definitely the staff who were very friendly.

All in all will not be going back, stayed about an hour and my son was bored after 15 minutes.

“Good few hours out for little ones”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2012

Wellybobs isn't far off the motorway, so easy to get to. Don't expect a lot of animals but those that are there are easy to see and the children got to handle a guinea pig and rabbit and stroked a lizard. The little cars were great fun. It was raining so we didn't get to play outside. But the indoor areas were good, Fridays has a special play session for parents and children - only £2 per person and entry to the farm. Extra for some things which is typical of most farms. Food was nice and sold at a good price. Overall a good few hours out for little ones
