After an afternoon's walking around Slaidburn , my friends , my dog and I decided to eat dinner at the Waddington Arms. The village is really beautiful and the pub is a very attractive venue . We ate in the lovely garden which is sunny , bright and very well appointed.
The young team of staff are excellent - friendly , efficient and nothing is too much trouble for them.
For an average cost of £22 each we had 3 starters , 3 main courses and 2 desserts.
Moules mariniere , scallops with pork belly and goats cheese with beetroot salad were all delicious and ample starters.
Pork with mushroom sauce , grilled salmon and sausage n mash with onion gravy didn't disappoint either.
2 desserts of treacle tart were ordered but with only one left , we selected sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce and banoffee ice ream. The tart was average but the sticky toffee pud was excellent.
All in all , a lovely meal with great service in beautiful surroundings at a very competitive price rounded off our day wonderfully.
Try it , it's a must.

This is our Third visit to the Waddington Arms, the food was impeccable as always and plenty of it. There is great atmosphere and all the staff are very helpful, friendly and provide a great service, we were made to feel very welcome and Can't wait until our next visit. For a small country pub there is ampul parking and an outdoor seating area front and rear. Well worth a visit.

My husband and I have just stayed here for two nights. We highly recommend it, everything was great, room up in the eaves lovely (we had no problem with the church bells). Andrew and the staff are very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Had great food and drink too.

We stay at the Waddington Arms twice a year and have been doing so for more than 20 years and it's no wonder that it is difficult to get a weekend booking because it offers great service, great food and a beautiful location. Andrew is the manager and his attention to providing the best service possible is admirable. He is constantly in the "thick of it" interacting with the clientele and ensuring the highest possible standards from his staff. We generally have our evening meal at the Waddy Arms and the quality is always great so no need to travel away from the village. Breakfast is better than the Dorchester where we paid £30 for breakfast.

I assure you, you will never be disappointed with your stay here and thanks again Andrew if you read these reviews.

We stayed for one night for our anniversary and had a truly wonderful time. We were looked after very well and felt relaxed the village is very beautiful and after we had a stroll around taking a few pictures we went back in anticipation for our evening meal which was stunning. Having had a look at the menu earlier in the afternoon i was pleasantly surprised with the choices and the specials board was very inviting. Me and my wife both had a scallop starter but i had chose the one from the specials board that came with a really juicy chicken wing and my wife's with pork belly both expertly cooked and really well presented the garnish went well with the dish which you can't always say at restaurants. Cod saag aloo and duck breast followed both beautiful and again well presented then cheese to finish. We would recommend Waddington Arms highly, little it seems is known about just how good the cuisine is and how much passion the kitchen brigade has for producing seasonal tasty produce. We had an issue with the shower but his was dealt with very professionally.

The only disappointment of the whole experience. The ambience was good, the food fabulous, but the beer was indifferent! This was surprising given that the Bowland Brewery with its excellent range of ales is on the doorstep. We thought that there should be at least one pump featuring this local ale!
