“Disappointed”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013

Attended a wedding at Eaves Hall. Set in beautiful grounds and ground floor decor had some lovely original features. Unfortunately, this standard was not maintained in the bedrooms, which were cold, with dated decoration, broken fixtures and no hot water. The room was overpriced and guests were charged more than originally quoted on making the reservation. What a shame!

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We are of course disappointed to hear that you felt aspects of your visit were not up to standard. The property has only been under its current ownership for 18 months and we are still in the process of an on-going refurbishment programme, the ground floor level is now fully completed however about 30% of the bedrooms are yet to be fully finished. Please also accept my apologies for any confusion in respect of room rates, unfortunately as we are no longer a leisure hotel, rates that were originally agreed with customers at the time of booking may date back over a few years when the venue was under different management, and I can only presume that this is where the misunderstanding has arisen, we now operate a strict Bridal Allocation Policy to avoid any such confusion.

Once again I would like to thank you for taking the time to review Eaves Hall.

Kind regards
Management

Just attended a weeding at this venue on the weekend before christmas 2012.
set in a lovely area in the ribble valley, nice grounds on the approach.
Inside some great original features but at the same time alot of work still needed to be done.
My room 115.00 but was worth 65.00 major rip off ,sorry but its the truth.

The beef was very rare and with blood alot of guests werent happy.
night time party buffett was bacon butties and chips, couldnt belive it shocked they didnt serve donnor kebab.

dj was very good at night and the staff were all very frendily

Room Tip: taxi home best bet

The setting is beautiful, the house is lovely and my room was wonderful. The food is good and the staff are superb, catering for every need effortlessly. I could not praise them highly enough. The chocolate biscuits are amazing. My only complaint was they haven't give me thr recipe!!!

I recently held my wedding at Eaves Hall Hotel and had the day of my dreams. The process didn't start off too well with a cancellation from Mitton Hall (not a very positive experience). However Eaves Hall was amazing. I have to single out Dave and Barry who were both superb on the day and really did make everything go like clockwork but to be honest I could not fault any of the staff. Many of the rooms have now been refurbished and I think the hotel will benefit when this is fully completed but we had no complaints. The food was amazing and we managed to book a day that didn't rain. We have the most wonderful photos from the grounds and I would recommend it to anybody looking for a special venue.

This place is stunning, it was the perfect setting for a wedding which I attended.
The bedroom was nice, albeit very small and basic for the money.
The breakfast was good.
The beef served at the wedding was too pink for everyone on our table (and many others I expect).
The bar was a bit steep, but nothing out of the ordinary,
We had free reign of the bowling & gold, which was brilliant fun after a few beers.

Room Tip: Ask for the wedding suite.

eaves hall is a beautiful house but the rooms need a lot or refurbishment, we were there attending a wedding, wedding meal was o.k but the roast beef a bit rare for my liking, a good vet would of had it back on its feet, at night there was a warm buffet but when we went to get ours the waitress said she was just waiting on another tray of chilli chicken being delivered, we stood for about 10 minutes with about 30 other guests but none arrived, was told they would announce it over the mike when it arrived, it never did, when i asked the young waitress what happened she said the chef went home early, surely he should of made sure there was enough to feed all the guests, but the staff were all very pleasant, the breakfast was not very nice, not even a fried egg on the menu just scrambled, and had to keep asking for tea and toast. On the plus side the grounds are beautiful and plenty of place to have a nice quiet stroll, Thought it a bit pricy for what we got

Room Tip: suites are more up to date but more expensive

I attended a wedding here and have to say that the venue is superb. The grounds around the hotel are lovely, plenty of areas for photographs and lots of space for the guests to relax. The hotel inside again does not disappoint, you enter through the large entrance hall and from there you have have two reception rooms and the bar, there is also a snooker room at the back of the house. The food was very nice and the service matched everything about the hotel. We were fortunate to have been able to stay over and again the accommodation was comfortable and everything you would have asked for. A lovely occasion and a fantastic venue.
