Clitheroe has been crying out for this restaurant, ate here several times and the eating experience is excellent, talk to Mark while he cooks your meal, you are in the kitchen as another reveiw. Menu and daily specials just what is needed and cooked to perfection. Quality of the ingredients and all meals freshly prepared in front of you make this restaurant or cafe or what you want to call it the place to eat when you want a light snack, lunch or diner
Mark the owner/chef has put his all into this business and it shows with the quality of the end product that is plated and presented with fine dining in mind
Give Qzine a go and you wont be disappointed

clitheroe has been waiting for a place like this , ate here last night and was compelled to write this review as I read an earlier review entitled not really a restaurant, I feel this diner had completely missed the point of the QZINE experience, its charm is based around the fact that it is a café ,in the true French or Mediterranean sense. you can choose to dine upstairs , a little more detached or at one of the three tables downstairs which can be compared to the chefs table at many fine dining restaurants where you are charged a premium for this, you are as good as eating in the kitchen , where you can interact with owner Mark and his handpicked brigade while they work, a very unstuffy and friendly dining experience happens more akin to being fed by a lovely member of your family whose more than a bit handy in the kitchen, this team really care about fresh ingredients and how they are put together, if this is a café and not a restaurant I for one hope it keeps its identity and stays this way, if you want fine dining, then there is no shortage of this already in the are , but if you want is what I have described above and all at an incredibly affordable price point , look no further. try Marks menu at Qzine you wont be disappointed......

This will be my second visit to Qzine and I love it. The first being a lunch and the second dinner for two. We sat down stairs on both instances and it feels like your eating in the kitchen. Don't let that put you off, the kitchen is the other side of the counter and you can see and watch the ease in which they put out amazing food. Everything is cooked from scratch with good ingredients. The chef and owner is very cognisant of food allergies and intolerances and therefore you can eat here safe in the knowledge that once you've established your dietary needs that the food is safe to eat. To talk a little on value for money. I don't know how he manages it. Phenomenal given the freshness and quality of ingredients. I can't sing the praises of this place enough. I real place you must eat when visiting clitheroe at any time.

Thanks to all there, you are doing an amazing job.

During our recent visit to the Ribble Valley, we decided to spend a night out in Clitheroe. We are frequent visitors to the area, but have never gone all out to experience what the town has to offer in night life (we usually stick to country pubs and restaurants).

We took a recommendation from the owner of the campsite as they had heard Qzine was new and interesting. The food was OK, but our main gripe is that this is more of a cafe than a restaurant and no matter how much you try and dress it up, a cafe is still a cafe.

We left a bit disappointed and wish we had popped in for a snack at lunchtime where it didn't matter so much.

Visited last Saturday for an early dinner and the whole experience was wonderful. Qzine has only recently been open in the evenings so this was especially nice to see a restaurant functioning so well. The greeting was warm from an enthusiastic staff and we also has a chat with the owner, Mark, a former musician. We has complimentary nibbles of olives, chick peas and bread then from the largely Mediterranean menu (reflecting the owner's travels) we started with some superbly grilled Halloumi Cheese and followed with grilled back ribs & duck legs. The portions were huge and they even had to provide a doggy bag for our remainders!
Our meal was accommpanied by a fabulous Rioja and there were various yummy deserts on offer if you had the room. The ambience was charming: we ate upstares in a high-beamed room with views over the courtyard. All in all, a tremendous evening. Though we are 300 miles away, we'll definitely be back soon.
