“Eating in the kitchen”
Reviewed November 30, 2012

This will be my second visit to Qzine and I love it. The first being a lunch and the second dinner for two. We sat down stairs on both instances and it feels like your eating in the kitchen. Don't let that put you off, the kitchen is the other side of the counter and you can see and watch the ease in which they put out amazing food. Everything is cooked from scratch with good ingredients. The chef and owner is very cognisant of food allergies and intolerances and therefore you can eat here safe in the knowledge that once you've established your dietary needs that the food is safe to eat. To talk a little on value for money. I don't know how he manages it. Phenomenal given the freshness and quality of ingredients. I can't sing the praises of this place enough. I real place you must eat when visiting clitheroe at any time.

Thanks to all there, you are doing an amazing job.

“Not really a restaurant”
Reviewed November 22, 2012

During our recent visit to the Ribble Valley, we decided to spend a night out in Clitheroe. We are frequent visitors to the area, but have never gone all out to experience what the town has to offer in night life (we usually stick to country pubs and restaurants).

We took a recommendation from the owner of the campsite as they had heard Qzine was new and interesting. The food was OK, but our main gripe is that this is more of a cafe than a restaurant and no matter how much you try and dress it up, a cafe is still a cafe.

We left a bit disappointed and wish we had popped in for a snack at lunchtime where it didn't matter so much.

“Evening Dinner Experience”
Reviewed November 21, 2012

Visited last Saturday for an early dinner and the whole experience was wonderful. Qzine has only recently been open in the evenings so this was especially nice to see a restaurant functioning so well. The greeting was warm from an enthusiastic staff and we also has a chat with the owner, Mark, a former musician. We has complimentary nibbles of olives, chick peas and bread then from the largely Mediterranean menu (reflecting the owner's travels) we started with some superbly grilled Halloumi Cheese and followed with grilled back ribs & duck legs. The portions were huge and they even had to provide a doggy bag for our remainders!
Our meal was accommpanied by a fabulous Rioja and there were various yummy deserts on offer if you had the room. The ambience was charming: we ate upstares in a high-beamed room with views over the courtyard. All in all, a tremendous evening. Though we are 300 miles away, we'll definitely be back soon.

Definitely recommended for a daytime treat or informal evening meal. Really exciting menu with lots of veggie options too.

“What a find”
Reviewed November 6, 2012 via mobile

Had a lovely day shopping and mooching about in Clitheroe with my sister when we found Quine, what a gem. Hit the spot, we didn't want pub food or cream tea turned into a courtyard and there it was, what a find. We both had a meze,it was lovely fresh & very tasty plate of food. Wish we lived near so could go more often.
