“Brilliant break”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Just returned from a one night stay.
Three couples and we all had good rooms, large clean and warm.
The breakfast was very good, and thanks to the lady who cooked our breakfast and really looked after us all, keeping our tea and coffee topped up all the time.
Really enjoyed the break and it was down to the excellent staff, from arriving to leaving everyone was really helpful and pleasant, which makes a very pleasant change. Would definately go back again.

Room Tip: Two out of three rooms were very large, but the smaller of the three was not really small in compari...

My family and I stayed here for one night, the welcome was warming, they even went out of there way to fit our car in the car park (free)..
The room was spacious and very clean, the bathroom was huge and also very clean,
The food and service was second to none, the food was good and fairly cheap, the breakfast which was included in the price of the hotel stay was absolutely fantastic, all local produce was used, as much tea, coffee, orange juice as you wanted.
For the family suite we paid £100 for 4 of us, including breakfast,
I have another trip up there soon and I will most certainly be staying there.

Stayed for one night as a weekend break, Great room, not one of the biggest rooms so if you get chance ask for one of the larger rooms but if ours was fines I think all rooms prices are the same.
It is a local pub so you get pub food but good, reasonable priced and for the beer lovers they have a good choice.
They do have a car park but it is only small
All in all no complaints and I would most definitely stay again.

On holiday in the area and were so pleased that we found a central bar where we can take the dog for a drink and a meal - the dog was given water and biscuits.
Had a meal tonight which was lovely. Everything is clean and tidy and the staff are all extremely helpful and friendly.

We stayed at this accomadation on the weekend of the 10th August 2012 , the staff were really friendly and the hotel was clean and tidy. The breakfeast was good qualaity.
The only issue we had is that the lock on the room we were staying in had slipped, and we could not open the door to get out of the room. We contacted reception , who came up and unlocked the door from the outside, which was fine , but thinking about it now what would have happened if god forbid there was a fire in the establishment. The reception advised us that this was a common fault with the room we were staying in , but maybe they should look at the lock on the door as a matter of urgency, prior to anything happening.

Room Tip: Make sure the locks on the door work , before accepting the room.
