I like staying at Premier Inns as you know what to expect and they are good value. This Premier Inn is in a nice location and the buildings are pretty. We were allocated a room in the 'stable block' which was clean, modern with a comfy king size bed and nice clean bright bathroom. We did hear a little noise from people revving car engines around midnight which was probably from people leaving the pub opposite. The rest of the night was lovely and quiet.
We had stayed in another Premier Inn in West Didsbury the previous night which had set a high standard expecially when it came to breakfast and this one was no where near the same standard. We had to wait some time by the 'please wait to be seated sign' before a member of staff appeared. We were then allocated a grubby table. I dont know whether there was a shortage of staff as the whole experience was completely unorganised. Almost most things we wanted had to be asked for e.g. teaspoons, cereal spoon, coffee, orange juice, white bread for toast. The whole buffet area was completely uncared for and needed replenishing although we were there 45 mins before the end of the time that breakast was due to be finished. The staff need more training on customer service and how to keep the area looking 'cared for'. This was in complete contrast to the West Didsbury Premier Inn breakfast which could not be faulted. Maybe the staff from Malthouse Farm should be sent to West Didsbury for some staff training! The few staff that were there seemed to be running back and forth from the kitchen with items that other customers were also requesting. When they did replenish items they would only bring out a bare minimum which meant they had to keep returning to the kitchen for more. Why not put more out to save the extra trips?
I would certainly recommend the hotel and feel that it offers good value for money but I think if we were to book here again we would not bother with breakfast and would eat elsewhere.

You know to expect a good stay with Premier Inn. Stayed four nights and had two rooms. We got a good deal and didn't mind the 30 minute drive to get into the centre of Blackpool. Breakfast was a bit slow on the last day (very busy). A very nice stay with really friendly and helpful staff.

Room Tip: I phoned the week before to request rooms together, they obliged and gave us rooms opposite.

We arrived at the hotel after over five hours cycling on the canal from Liverpool in appalling weather. We were utterly filthy, drenched and very cold. The ladies on reception were delightful despite the fact we were too dirty to even sign in. They even offered us extra (white) towels - I wasn't sure this was a good idea. They also provided endless paper towels to dry shoes. On a more mainstream note the room was lovely with a big bed and good facilities and the pub next door was warm ( rather relevant in the circumstances) and the food was good value and very pleasant.

stayed here for one night last friday, excellent premier inn.. The staff, cleanliness, friendliness and the room all perfect...then you go next door for dinner, the food was lovely, plenty of it and hot ,I have to say the staff were under pressure so forgot our starter and drinks..no excuse though at breakfast we were met by an extremely rude man(with an accent).Because we hadn't booked he said there was a problem and although the staff the night before and when I had rung before going I was told I could use Tesco vouchers he said we couldn't... eventually we did but were rushed through our food and had our receipt chucked across the table at us. We felt totally unwelcome, it was such a shame, but as they say there is always one!!!

Room Tip: all clean and quiet

We stayed here for a night on 21/10/12 and had two rooms booked. The staff were very frendly and helpfull.
We used it as a place to stay while visting Blackpool. When we arrived we found the rooms to be very clean and tidy.
After the journey to here we were all hungry and use the pub adjacent to the hotel,it was very busy as it was Sunday lunch time but staff managed to find us a table straight away.

On the night i must say that its the quietist place i have stayed for years,no noise what so ever,we all slept through breakfast (served 7-9 Monday to Friday) which was ok because we hadn't booked it anyway.

Well recomended.

Stayed here before when visiting relatives in the locality. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Great undistubed sleep in comfortable bed and room Interesting to visit this area as I was born in the village and my ancestors farmed the land around the village for many years
