“A great find!”
Reviewed December 23, 2012

Two families spent 4 very pleasant hours at the Spinners. Food excellent, the burgers where massive and very toasty. Our wives had fillet steak that was perfectly cooked to their liking. The beer we sampled is well kept. The pubs bar area has that old pub feel, especially with the roaring fire. There is a lounge that felt like I was at home, tv, sofas, coffee tables. Defo recommend a visit.

“visit once...you will definately be back!!”
Reviewed December 9, 2012

We arrived one windy rainy night to be welcomed with a roaring open fire to sit by with a very nice tasting glass of wine. Once warmed up we were escorted to the table in the back dining room which had lovely welcoming atmosphere. We had a lovely choice of food to choose from which were all very tempting, The garlic mushrooms were a delight with an added twist on presentation which was nice. We then decided to go for the 2 for £10 meal deal which on that night was indian curry with rice or chips or with both and a naan bread or you could choose lasagne, we went for the curry to warm us up some more..................and wow, it was fantastic, you would have thought it came from a well like indian resturant it was truely that good. I obviously choose chips and rice and the chips were so yummy too, homemade crispy on the outside and fluffly on the inside. The potion was plenty and I have a big appetite and I was full, but I did manage to squeeze a pudding in which was chocolate fudge cake served with cream or ice cream, I was a little cheeky and asked if I could have both and they had no hesitation in granting my wish, The service was quick, and waitresses were pleasant and smiling and the owner Glen was a pleasure to chat to afterwards when we had taken to rest in the sofa lounge where he came over to see if we had enjoyed our time there, he is man who cares and has great ambitions for The Spinners and can only imagine the Christmas dinner there is going to magnificent from what he was describing for the day.........down to roasting chestnuts on the open fire, and serving turkey sandwiches in the evening for those still propping the bar up on Christmas day. Well done Glen and the team, we hope to come again soon. Well worth the visit.

Just had our staff christmas Bash at the spinners..top class food..top class beer, good wine, great atmosphere all rounded off within a great looking pub with good friendly staff . “Average food , slow service and high prices”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

Went mid-week evening, and we chose from the main menu and were disappointed. The meals were mediocre at best and more than twice the price of other similar establishments. Slow but polite service . You need to know that on some days the "Special deal " is limited to one dish only. Go again?.... no thank you I will go elsewhere next time and spend the difference on a takeaway.

“Value for money”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

Called for lunch and was not disappointed. Slightly odd menu for lunch but we opted for the homemade beefburger which i would not normally choose and I have to say excellent, well presented and home cooked!!! The salad and wedges were very well presented.
