Arrived Sunday evening at 6:30 hoping for early meal with friends. They had just opened and were not ready, so I thought we could have a nice pint of draught beer. None available as they had a busy night the day before, so no beer, suggested we go next door to the pub. Came back later for the meal, they were very polite and looked after us well, however the meal was fine but not inspiring and certainly not worth the price.
So all in all folks, a tad disappointing.

3 of my friends and I booked a meal at new seasons by email, we didn't receive a reply, but as it was a Tuesday evening, we chanced it and arrived at 5.20pm. The door was locked, it said it opened at 5pm. The lights were on and a waitress saw us. She then disappeared for 5 minutes, leaving us outside in the rain. She opened up, we explained that we had booked online and she said they hadn't received the booking, but as they weren't busy it would be fine. She sat us down in the back room, which was cold and dark. We were given menus, and had to put the torches on our phones on to read them. They saw this and brought a tiny tea light candle to our table. This made no difference. We were near the kitchens, and a small child kept running in and out of the kitchen, making it even colder. We ordered a litre jug of sangria, the waitress brought us a small jug of a very weak mixture of wine and lemonade, with a bit of fruit added. We were so cold, we asked to be moved, and sat in the front, which was a little warmer, and a lot lighter. Our tapas arrived, disappointing in both size and flavour, the African fish curry, was two tiny pieces of frozen fish, in a bit of standard curry sauce!! We asked for the rest of the sangria, as we had only had a small jug. The waitress apologised, but took 20 minutes to bring more. There was only 6 other people in, so they weren't busy. When our main courses arrived, she told us our veg was on its way. However we only got a tiny bowl of chips and a tiny bowl of rice. Nowhere near enough for 4 people. No vegetables which is disappointing, especially, when my main course was £18.95 . Definitely not worth the money. After all these disasters we asked for the bill, which came with only 2 chocolates between 4 of us. I would never ever eat there again, what a terrible experience, it was worse than a scene from faulty towers.

Myself and three of my friends visited this restaurant on the 21st Jan '14. We arrived at 5.15 only to find the door locked after pushing the door several times the waitress finally looked at us as much to say "What's the problem" she finally went upstairs to get a key. We went in obviously no-one else in we were ushered into the back of the restaurant were there was little lighting, we ordered a litre of sangria while we looked at the menus I hasten to add we had to get our keyring torches out to read the menu the lighting was that bad the waitress and chef thought it was hilarious. We finally asked if we could be moved into the front of the restaurant, which we did. We received our sangria which never in a month of sundays was a litre. Our tapas starters was lovely although they could have been a little larger portions compared to other tapas restaurants. The mains arrived to be told our vegetables would be here soon a small portion of chips arrived then nothing for at least ten minutes (there was only one other table in besides us) finally a small portion of rice arrived we asked for some more chips no vegetables arrived. We questioned the sangria and the waitress brought us another jug to make up for the shortage. While we were eating our mains four ladies arrived only to be told "I am sorry we cannot serve you tonight as the delivery of food hasn't arrived" we were flabbergasted to here this. The whole attitude and ambience of the night was horrible. I am afraid we will not be visiting again!

The food we ate was perfectly tasty and the service was friendly and there was a nice atmosphere. They told us that they were changing wine supplier and may not have the wine we selected, obviously we were lucky as we had no problems. The let down came with the chipped wine glass. My starter of cheesy garlic bread was very tasty and a good size portion. It was let down by the piece of onion skin on the plate. The main course of curried chicken kebab had nice large pieces of chicken, nice and moist with a side salad and some rice. The menu did say I had a choice of wrap or rice but I never got offered this. The next let down was the kitchen tea towels drying on the nearby radiator. On the plus side it is a nice quirky building with little rooms both downstairs and up. However, on a cold night it isn't pleasant having to go outside to the toilet, it is covered so you won't get wet but makes it a bit chilly. Also, it also means that the front room gets drafts when people come in and out and the back room can suffer the same problem when people visit the toilets.
