Stayed a couple of nights and found this Premier Inn to be very smart, comfortable and with a friendly staff. We found that the location was very good and the grounds were tidy.
Also, the on site pub/restaurant "The Queen Victoria" served good quality value meals especially the Friday night fish and chip buffet.

Arrived at the hotel after a long day travelling to find we had booked 3 rooms for the wrong night. Despite being technically full, the exceptionally good receptionist, Jenna, managed to find us 3 available rooms in the hotel when she could have so easily said its your fault and "computer says no".

The hotel is a typical Premier Inn, clean, comfortable and exactly what you would expect for the price. But the service we received from Jenna was 5 star and more what I would expect from a top London hotel.

Well done Premier Inn and a huge thank you to Jenna.

We stayed on Dec 14th 2012 in a family room on the ground floor.

As always our stay with Premier Inn was excellent!

This is the first time we have stayed at the Burnley hotel and we will be back.

We got everything we expected from Premier Inn, clean rooms, a warm welcome, comfy bed and a good nights sleep!

The only downside was guests chatting outside the hotel around 1am, as we had 2 young children asleep right next to the window. So maybe a smoking shelter could be installed away from guests windows instead of having people just stood right outside them. I have informed Premier Inn of this in my feedback questionnaire but have had no response as of yet (29/12/12).

Apart from that, well done Premier Inn!

I prefer to use Premier Inn over other chains and i definitely will give Premier Inn Burnley 5 out of 5 for overall services and location.
Its just family rooms need to be more quiter and also little bit more spacious.

Booked a couple of nights in this Premier Inn to compare it to Travelodges. Paid £58 as opposed to the nearest Lodge which would have cost £30 (for the 2 nights). For the extra £28 we got toiletries (shower gel and antibacterial hand wash in a dispenser). The former didn't work so I had to dismantle it only to discover that the putter-in of these items hadn't cut the top off the container! We got an extra pillow (4 instead of 3) and 2 chairs (Travelodge insist on only giving a couple one in each room).

The room was scrupulously clean and looked far more attractive on entering than Lodges. There was a writing desk and plenty of space. The bathroom was clean but the shower was abysmal. Only a trickle of water when on full blast.

Parking was easy, staff were friendly and attentive and we found our room easily (though no lift). The room was quiet and we got two good nights sleep. So, all in all, a quite acceptable stay.

The point is, was the extra £28 worth it We arrived late on the first night and were out by 8am. The second night we arrived back at 11pm, leaving at 8am. so, effectively, we only used the room for sleeping. At £29 a night it was good value, though I would have been miffed spending £50 plus purely to sleep there .... breakfast or no breakfast.

If you want a room to lounge in, do work or watch tele all night, then PI would be better for you, but, if like us, you use it purely as a base, then the Travelodge offers are more than adequate. I say offers ..... don't pay full price for either.

Room Tip: Don't have the Sunday carvery after 6pm. The vegs could have been sitting there a long time!
