We had a wonderful spa day at the Woodland. From the moment we arrived, we encountered friendly, helpful staff. Facilities are first class - clean and modern. Food in Bertrams was lovely and the service was great. Even the owner took the time to come and speak with us.

I cannot recommend the Woodland highly enough and we will return very soon!!

Best spa I've ever been to. Would go again "if I could afford it" :-) World class, 5 star. Outdoor pool, hydrotherapy pool, steam room, 4 different sauna's, serenity pool, all sorts of showers. First class meal in Bertrams restaurant afterwards. Great service, great staff.

Thank you to the lovely staff at The Woodland Spa for a wonderful day. Eight of us spent the day here to celebrate my Mum's 70th birthday.
Everyone enjoyed the first class facilities, treatments and the excellent food at Bertram's.
We stayed overnight at the nearby Holiday Inn Express, which is modern, comfortable and again nice helpful staff.
Eight happy and relaxed ladies who are already looking forward to our next visit.

This is now the 3rd time I've visited the spa, (once just after it opened and then in May for a facial and massage which were amazing) and it's top class. Excellent welcome at reception from the lovely Laura. Just a few niggles though with the actual spa. The 1st time we went the outdoor area wasn't open so we were really looking forward to it even though it was raining. It's beautifully designed, although like several other reviewers we were a bit perturbed that alcohol is served and can be drunk throughout the spa. Might be better if people stick to drinking water in the spa as you can visit the upstairs bar in your robe if you want a proper drink, although the outdoor bar is cute. We fail to understand why people weren't using the bins provided to put their empty cups/glasses in, several were left around the spa and weren't picked up by staff whilst we were there. I hadn't realised until I read the reviews that visitors to Bertram's can use the outdoor area by the jacuzzis to have a drink and a smoke, we wouldn't have been comfortable with that. One hen party complete with hen's halo were looking a bit grey round the gills by the time we got out although they were well behaved. The majority of loungers by the hydrotherapy and serenity pools had been bagged with no apparent occupants and this
wasn't policed. We had the mud treatment as part of a summer deal which included a one course meal, £59 each for the spa, meal and mud, excellent value. Although this is fun as we enjoyed covering each other with mud, we think next time we visit we'll go for the £49 evening package which includes spa, two course meal and a glass of wine. The food in Bertram's restaurant was excellent as it was on our first visit, even though we only had a burger and fish and chips, they were fantastic. The waitress was lovely, although service was a little slow given that the restaurant was quiet, however we enjoyed just relaxing and taking in the lovely views.
