If you are looking for somewhere to give you a insight into what life used to be like I this area then no this place is ideal along with queens mill. It is easy to find and has parking. And right next door to a lovely pub which is on the wharf side and lovely to sit out in the summer.

Prince Charles is a real fan. He also says he supports the Football Club! A great piece of industrial heritage lovingly restored.

This is a pleasant little museum that tells the story of how Burnley was the world capital of cotton. The volunteers who showed us around were very friendly and enthusiastic. It's a lovely little place in the middle of some fantastic heritage.

Gives you a taste of how the canal systems worked with the cotton trade. Burnley is now heavily investing in this area. If they carry on the way they are, it will be a beautiful area with bags of character.

This is a living museum, small but very friendly. a little cafe within a museum. fair ground model is amazing well worth the trip. A lovely next door. interesting items to look at, boat trips from here to barden mill on the canal. No charge, just a donation for upkeep.
