“A fantastic place to centre your seaside visit around!”
Reviewed July 20, 2014

After being buffeted on the seafront my boyfriend and I needed somewhere warm and friendly to relax and Waltshaw's was perfect. Delicious and filling food with the best ice cream I've ever tasted! The selections of real ale, chutneys and other products you don't always find in a café give it a unique edge and go to show how much thought and creativity has gone into providing a different experience for the customers. We were really impressed with the whole ethos of the café as well, everything is locally sourced and the owner has cultivated a really great relationship with all of her suppliers. She was very friendly, making sure everyone who came and went was given a kind greeting and had all of their needs catered for. Waltshaw's made our day really special and we will definitely going back as soon and as often as possible!

“Best lunch in Whitstable!”
Reviewed July 19, 2014

Having moved to Whitstable a year ago, Waltshaws' quickly became my favourite place for lunch when I'm working from home, or on a weekend when I have friends to visit - and in a town with as much good eating on offer as Whitstable that is no small accolade! The sausage rolls are amazing (and an engineering marvel) and the pulled pork is incredible and a huge threat to my BMI.

In short, if you want local produce served by people who are friendly and genuinely enthusiastic about what they prepare and sell, this is the place.

“Lovely food, lovely people, lovely ethos!”
Reviewed July 19, 2014 via mobile

Had to come back on and reinforce how good waltshaws is. As it grows, it gets better. The passion here is local, seasonal ingredients making delicious food, something that is so important to me. I eat here usually once a week and I've never been disappointed. The lovely Becca and Libby know so much about their ingredients that you can feel the enthusiasm about what they do from the minute you walk in the door.
Salads, sandwiches and the tardis sausage roll are all delicious. My favourite is mackerel pate on toast! Yum!
Can't forget to mention the amazing salted chocolate brownie, still my favourite!
