The food here is classic Wetherspoons, OK & good value for money but not brilliant, but it is worth a visit just for the art deco lights and mirrors, whoever designed it deserves an accolade.

Staff always pleasant even when very busy and the beer garden out the back a very good use of what was car park.

Nice atmosphere. At first it looked as an actual theater. A closer look revealed a restaurant.
At your own pace you can order your drinks meal and even desert, if there's still room left.
We were there on the evening of the chicken club and the steakclub. Lovely dinner and no nagging about anything else or maybe desert. Just pack your things once your done

1930`s Art deco ex Cinema /bingo hall , tribute to Peter Cushing and now a wetherspoon`s , bit dark as no windows but adds something , good choice of beers , child friendly ,good choice of pub grub , excellent value. Used to be an old picture house. Good selection of all sorts of beers. Mainly a restaurant not so much a pub. Little atmosphere probably due to very high ceiling but overall worth a visit for the food and drink if you are in the area. Excellent value.

Finally decided to try this weather spoon and wow what can I say. Lovely old cinematic projector on view as you walk in and many pictures of the late Peter Cushing are Also on show as a tribute to this great man who was also a local resident before he died. Inside there's lovely hanging lights and more pictures and is unlike any weatherspoon I have been in. A good selection of ales and the usual offers on food. Seating probably not to everyone's taste but ok for eating. The food was ok and done the job! Which is basically what you expect for the prices you pay and boy forgetting you get a free pint to on some dishes so overall good value.
