Stayed at Hut 7. Second time round, and bathroom had been renovated so very new. Was a bit worried as despite it being Easter it snowed! But heating was very effective, and it was very warm. Great location, and a bit different to a hotel room with a small kitchenette for some self catering (basic though!). Steep staircase to get to bedroom in this hut if that is an issue at all. We didn't bother going to hotel for the breakfast as last time it was fairly average, but having a fridge, toaster etc means we could make our own. A great stay, we would always stay here when in Whitstable.

Thanks for coming again remember huts 1,2,3,5,6 and 7 have steep stairs to the 1st floor so only book these if you are comfortable with this. Thanks again

I booked 1 night in hut 5 for our first wedding anniversary - and it was wonderful! Very sweet converted hut, living space and kitchen area downstairs, and double bed and ensuite up.
Check in was at The Hotel Continental, which is just 10 minutes walk down the beach and each hut has a parking space included right outside the hut.

We live by the see on the south coast of Kent - only 45 minutes away - but the view from the hut was lovely - right on the beach. There is a hut to the side of them that sells fresh seafood. So we purchased a lobster and oysters from them at very reasonable price and sat on the beach and had them with a bottle of bubbly!
It is worth remembering that Whitstable is a small seasonal fishing town, we visited on a tuesday, out of season, and lots of places were not open. Though the Pearson has great cocktails and is only a short walk away down the beach.
Has the basics for what you need, the pair of deck chairs was a nice touch. Have a small fridge, toiletries, bed linen, towels. plate etc. Could of been a little cleaner (a couple of marks on the walls going up the stairs and the bathroom wasn't spotless) but was clean enough.
Would not stop me staying again -
There is a breakfast included at the Hotel - which was really nice. good wide selection and good quality local products. Though it would be nice to have a slightly cheaper rate at the huts and not have breakfast. We had it because we were checking out, but if you were staying more than 1 night - I doubt you would make the trip,
Overall - It was a really lovely stay, perfectly romantic and looking forward to staying again.

thanks for the feed back. The huts should always be clean and have recently been refurbished so will look at the walls in hut 5. We will soon offer the huts guests the opportunity to have a take out breakfast at the forge from 9-11 which is right next to the huts at the weekend so you do not have to go to the hotel if you would prefer. glad you enjoyed your stay.

Normally stay at the hotel when down but they could only do 1 night but wanted 2 . They suggested staying in the huts ,so we thought we'd give it a try . Well we weren't disappointed ,hut 5 was comfortable ,cosy and clean .Downstairs there was a sofa ,table ,flat screen tv and cooking facilities and a fridge which had juice and fresh milk ,a nice touch, Upstairs our bedroom also had a flat screen tv and looked out to a fantastic view to sea . Bathroom just off the bedroom . Walked along the seafront and harbour to breakfast at the hotel each morning . Food good and plenty to choose from . We will be back as thoroughly enjoyed our stay .

glad you had a great stay and are thinking of returning soon. If you are bringing kids why not try hut 14 as it is slightly larger with a child friendly balcony.

After calling up to book one night in the fisherman's hut I was very pleased with the telephone service I received from the manager Jamie. When we arrived the receptionist was very friendly and gave us clear detailed directions how to get to the huts. When we arrived at the hut my opinionated fiancé was gobsmacked, we both fell in love with the quaint chic style of the hut it was perfect. We came away for a romantic night with no children and that is just what we got. It was lovely waking up to the beautiful view out the window overlooking the sea with the window wide open. We then took the short walk to the hotel for breakfast and were equally impressed with the service and quality of food, plenty of choice all delivered at a very high standard. We will be coming back here in the summer for a longer stay with the children too.

Stayed here with friends as a belated Christmas present. We had hut 9 our friends hut 8. Hut 9 was very smart being recently refurbished with a large flat screen tv downstairs two sofas and a small shower room. Upstairs was a large double bed, smaller tv, tea making facilities, microwave and a fridge containing milk water and juice. Just a few meters away was a hut selling sea food and drinks (beer and wine) Great atmosphere to just sit and watch the world go by. Even managed to fish from the beach for a couple of hours although we were only there for two nights. Would love to go again.

Room Tip: All huts are located in a line just off the beach, take your pick.

Hut 9 was only finished from refubishment work at easter. Hut 8 is very similar in layout and has also only just been refurbished too. You can always specify the hut you want when you book.
thanks

We stayed for one night in hut no.4 and absolutely loved it. We arrived a little early and hotel reception had trouble locating the key but they sat us down in the bar and offered us a couple of free drinks while one of the staff ran down to the huts to get a spare key - brilliant customer service.

The hut itself was clean and warm - particularly good when it's windy and hovering around zero outside! Our bed was comfortable and the window had a shutter which blocked out most of the noise from outside but to be honest it seems even more cosy listening to the sound of the wind in the yacht masts outside. My only advice on the huts is the ceilings aren't very high (particularly downstairs and the upstairs have beams across them) so be careful if you're like me and over 6ft! Also we found our fridge made some noises from time to time so we unplugged it overnight. There was a small bottle of milk and some juices in the fridge which was a nice touch, most places would just give you the plastic packs of UHT milk with your kettle and tea bits.

We had our evening meal in the equally wonderful Wheelers Oyster bar which is barely two minutes walk from the huts.

Breakfast the next day was at the hotel and was pretty good, only thing I would have liked was some hash browns/waffles/potatoes with the fried breakfast but they had toast on offer as well so I had that. Cereals, yoghurts and fresh and tinned fruit also available.

We would definately come back and at only £75 a night if you go on a weekday or Sunday night it's very good value. You'd pay that for a night in a travel in or similar with breakfast, but you'd get nowhere near the ambience and relaxation offered in one of these huts.

Room Tip: Only some of the huts have a sea view. Be careful of low ceilings if you're tall!
