on a day trip to whitstable there was a short window for us to visit the museum, my friend wanted to see the Peter Cushing exhibition, (it was the last day). She came out in tears saying it was a beautiful exhibition well presented and very emotional. Well done! ps the young lad on the till was very helpful too

We visited when this exhibition was on which was very interesting-I don't believe it is permanent though. Other exhibits were interesting if a trifle predictable. Still lovely to see.

Everything is nice about Whitstable and the Museum is no exception. Small, but loved and some interesting exhibitions from time to time..

Funny, quirky local museum. Peter Cushing information interesting. Worth popping in as always good to support these local collections. Would have preferred to see the garden shed exhibitions as noted by another reviewer as the weird temporary art collection was not very engaging!

A nice museum with a wide range of exhibits to do with Whitstable's heritage, both recent and prehistoric. I actually went to see the Peter Cushing display, and I must say I found this a disappointment. There is a glass case full of his greasepaint and other tools of his trade, as well as some a few drawings, and a model set. In addition there is a wall display with some pictures and information. I expected more from his acting career. Surely he kept some of his film props? Cushing was also well known as a painter and I had expected to see some of these, particuarly those of Whitestable itself, but if the museum owns any they weren't on display. The case where his relics were on display was also inconspicous and I had to ask where it was. More needs to be done I'm afriad.
