Have been many times here and experienced up and down service but clearly staffing levels are too low for such a large restaurant. The food was not up to previous standards, it has gone down over the years. Wrong drinks delivered, poor waitress was serving food, drinks and also making sweets (puddings). Not good.

Waitress was lovely, hard working. Just everything let's the place down, must be management.

Booked a table for after Thriller at the Marlowe Theatre. Arrived half an hour early so had a drink at the bar. Went to get seated at our table. Waitress very friendly. Didn't have to wait too long between courses. Poor waitress had to put up with a family with 3 kids whose dad decided to have 2 bottles of white wine and then continued to swear at his uncontrollable children who left a complete mess for the waitresses to clear up. I don't know how they do their job without losing their rag. What chance do these kids have with parents like that!!! Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will be back.

We were staying at the Premier Inn and ended up eating here all 3 nights of our stay. The food varied between OK and very good. An example of the very good was the Grilled Salmon Béarnaise that my wife had on our first evening. Well cooked and melted in the mouth, and she was able to swap the broccoli for peas. The OK was the Ultimate Cod and Chips where the cod was just OK. Wouldn't bother with it again.
As I have experienced with other Beefeaters, there can be a long delay between placing the order and receiving your food (same goes for the gap between the first and second course).

The waiting staff were good, but you do need to book a table.

as we were staying next door and it was pouring with rain we decided to give this beefeater a try i before going into town .
the food was as you would expect from this chain , well priced and reasonable quality .
the waitress that served us was very good and helpful , which is not always the case in chain restaurants.

The Beefeater restaurants may not be haute cuisine or Michelin starred but they are consistent. You get good value for money and their steaks are always well cooked and tasty, at least they have when we've been there.
