Tasty food, served by friendly and attentive staff at reasonable prices. Have been to "The Tudor" on several occasions and will continue to do so.

Hello
travelled to Whitstable for a day out!

A few tweaks would make this a lovely cafe!
to start with the dreadful serviettes!!!! nice thick ones, WOULD not cost much more!! also seeing the staff pour your drink from a can and charging you double of the cost, the brought in frozen fish & chips!! such a beautiful building, but inside reminds me of a truckers stop!! just wished they served HOME COOKED FOOD!!

Had a lunch at the Tudor Tea Rooms on a visit to Whitstable. Decent basic menu. Very busy inside, but found space in the small walled courtyard at the rear. Food was ok, two of us had fish and chips and I had a quiche and chips. Tired decor, reminded me of trips to the seaside forty years ago, but on an English day at the sea I think that is perhaps the right thing. On balance fish and chips out of the paper sitting on the sea front might have been better and even more appropriate.

I first went to the Tudor Tea Rooms on the 27th July 2013 with a friend. It was the first day of the Oyster festival and was recommended by somebody from Whitstable. It was everything she said the food was excellent. Service great and staff very warm. I was last there on thursday 15th August 2013 and once again top marks. We had the set menu £10 50 which included soup or juice then main with at least 7 choices and the same with desert . Well worth a visit the staff are really lovely. All the food was very fresh the fish was excellent and the deserts super. Hope this helps anybody who goes.

We were bullied to our table by the waitress; bad karma. But as we nestled in we noticed that the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. A capricious start to our dining experience.
The food was well presented and tasty enough. Slightly expensive for a cafe though.
The Tudor Tea Rooms certainly has something that make it an interesting place to eat. I am not sure what. Perhaps it has an old world feeling that is as comforting as one of its home made puddings... A thousand old codgers can't be wrong.
