Convenient location, mainly clean just a little dust here and there. Bed was comfortable. Off road parking. The conservatory is a lovely place where breakfast is served
Breakfast...........well, the breakfast was actually nice, it was the dining experience that was somewhat unconventional :- Chris one of the proprietors dishes out your choice of cereal, you are not allowed to pour your own portion. I could go on, but I haven't got all day, basically Chris runs the guest house like Tenco with a face that would turn milk sour.
Bob on the other hand was a lovely charming gent, who made us feel very welcome.

This is place is just what you need. It's very clean, nice beds, it's just all nice and straightforward. One of the owners gave us some great tips on finding a restaurant. The breakfast was really nice as well.

The house is runnung by very nice people. We asked them to pay our parking-ticket. They were very helpful and honest. They could talk to the police, so that they could send us the money to Germany. And also the changed the money inti Euros for us. Great!

Room Tip: Aks citicens just where you are and where you want to stay.

We had a lovely one night stay at Alliston House. The room was warm and comfortable with nice touches like books and tea! The rooms were well kept and clean and we had a good night's sleep in such a quiet location. The owners we very welcoming and cooked up a great breakfast the next day! Alliston House is in a good location, it is great value for money and certainly isn't pretentious at all. There's a path down to the sea very close by and the walk into town is easy and interesting. There's also a handy bus stop taking you to canterbury a minute from the door.

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon for just one night and were warmly greeted by both of the owners. Our room was very clean (as is the rest of the house) and very well decorated. Breakfast the next morning was in a large conservatory over-looking a large garden which, one could image, would be absolutely delightful on a summer’s day. An excellent hearty full-english breaskfast was served with plenty of tea and toast topped-up with no problem at all. We would definitely recommend this lovely B & B for a stay in Whitstable, as it has off-road parking and is only 5-10 minutes walk from the busy high street.

From the exterior - as smart as a small hotel - you can see at once that Alliston House is very well-kept and run to a very high standard. We were welcomed at the door by one of the proprietors and led up to a lovely ensuite room whose decor was, again, more like a hotel than a B&B. Very elegant, even to the nice little table with chairs by the window. The bathroom was not quite as smart as the room, but everything worked fine and the proprietor made sure we had heating on and could not have been more helpful all round with suggestions as to transport/cabs/Whitstable restaurants. Breakfast overlooking the beautiful garden was lavish and delicious. We have recommended it to all our friends as by far the best place we know to stay in Whitstable.

My boyfriend and I stayed in Whitstable after we couldn't find accommodation in Brighton. My boyfriend found this B&B the day before we arrived. It was lovely!! The outside was well maintained and smart looking which made a great firs impression. We arrived early and our room was not ready but that was our fault because we arrived before checking out time at 11am, so we went fo a thoroughly nice day out in Whitstable. When we returned, our room was very homely and impeccably clean. There was tea and coffee aplenty and clean towels and shower gel. There was freeview with the tv. The best bit was the bed. It was amazingly comfortable and hard to get out of. In the morning, we had breakfast and the two proprietors could not have been more attentive and helpful. My boyfriend had the fried breakfast and said it was gorgeous. My museli was lovely too.
I find it hard to believe the B&B is shown as no 10 out of 12 b&bs in Whitstable. In my opinion, it should be ranked much higher. I would certainly recommend it to others and would definitely stay again. I noticed someone in another review called it a strange guest house... It isn't!! It is perfectly normal, very clean and comfortable and great value for money. It deserves the 4 stat rating for B&Bs. The two men who run it are very welcoming and helpful and introduced us to some fantastic seafood restuarants. Thank you!!
