“Dear, dear. This is the best pub in Whitstable if you love beer (and gin)”

The beer is always fresh and there is no way that it deserves anything less than 5 stars for its product and why you go there. The beer uses 12 half barrels which means it is always drinkable. Yes, it was once a shop but just relax, drink the many beers on offer (12) and gins (24). They have a great tasting 'paddle' that allows you to sample a third of a 3 different beers. So you know you've only had a pint but can taste things that range from a beautiful milk stout to a great IPA. Also, the crowd in there are not 'boorish' with always an equal ratio of men to women. Go and enjoy yourself with some nice fresh pints and some tasty gins.

Perfect gin and craft beer bar. Just what you hope to find in a bustling seaside town. The right side of hipster. Surprisingly sunny courtyard out back too.

Been here a few times. Great choice of craft beers and gins. Very knowledgeable staff. Unusual but tasty bar snacks. A good atmosphere and a small sheltered garden.

The Twelve Taps was a welcoming sight after walking around the high street. I was with a party of friends and we need liquid refreshments. Yoan was on hand to make suggestions, he was very friendly, professional and jovial.
We sat out in the rear garden, taking in the sunrays, the pub itself was airy and the locals ready to chit chat.
It is a very lovely pub a must visit when in the area.
