Wife and I stayed one night B&B in a very historic building - judas hole, smuggler's window, sloping floors, low ceilings etc. etc. Internal stairs could be a challenge for the less mobile. Lovely clean facilities, comfy bed, but a shortage in the little welcoming and friendly extras from the polite but rather quiet host. Breakfast was adequate, but no choice offered of ingredient in the full English breakfast, only white toast, tea not piping hot. Directed to WH Smith for early newspaper Sunday moring but not open until 10:00. So perfectly good B&B, great building and location in a marvellous village, which probably explains the price. But a bit more on the host side needed for a return visit.

Our room was spacious and quiet, the bed was very comfortable so we had a good nights sleep and we appreciated the flat screen television and the bath in the en-suite. Our room was very clean, though not quite ready on our arrival. We enjoyed a cup of tea in the courtyard on our arrival. The whole building is full of atmosphere though we were a little concerned at the policy of no door locks, either on our bedroom door or on the en-suite. Breakfast is served at a large communal table in the dining room. The cooked breakfast was adequate though we would have liked a pot of tea on the table so we could help ourselves. The location is excellent being only a few yards to the main street in Tenterden.

Room Tip: Some rooms have a shared bathroom

This B&B was immaculately clean, tastefully decorated and the stay was all in all a very high quality experience. Food was excellent. Check out Rod's Japanese influences, he's really got a way with plants.

What a wonderful welcome to a fantastic heritage B&B. Owner Rod was an excellent, knowledgable and informative host who ensued our stay was an enjoyable experience. We stayed only 2 nights but wished for longer in the near proximity to centre of town. We shared with our son and our friends (couple) and used the B&B as a base for sightseeing, walking and dining out. Will definitely keep Rod and Little Dane Court in mind for our next trip to Kent and Tenterden...look for the cat and bird on the roof!

Room Tip: Could try the master suite with ensuite or ask about the Japanese room!

An impromptu overnight stay in Tenterden led us to the discovery of this little gem. Rod the landlord was most charming and welcoming, the room tastefully set out with the most comfortable bed anyone could wish for. We would not hesitate to highly recommend!

What a beautiful place to stay, right in the heart of Tenterden. Our host, Rod, made us very welcome. The rooms and the whole house are beautiful, and have a tremendous sense of history. Rod made us welcome and comfortable the whole time, sharing time and refreshments with us in the lounge most eveings. His breakfasts (served in the courtyard on fine days), especially the locally made sausages, were lovely. (we even bought some of the same sausages from his local butcher to bring home with us !). Free car parking in the rear garden is safe and secure. The whole stay was a pleasant experience, and we will certainly be returning for another stay as soon as we can, as the area has so much to offer. Paul & Marion.

Room Tip: Not so keen on the two rooms that share a bathroom, but all the rooms are really nice, especially th...
