If you want a breakfast to start your day with a lot of energy, you should visit The Lemon Tree.
Go for their "The Full Monty" for a proper Full English breakfast.
I have been there many times and have never once had any problems.
Food is great, as is the service. Prices are very reasonable too, with an option of "Top up" coffee, which means you could possibly have three coffees for the price of one.
Highly recommended.

Actually really good value. Myself, partner and little one pop in for some late lunch. For 17.50 we both had high tea consisting of Welsh rarebit, scones and pots of tea which was lovely. The little one had a kids welsh rare bit which wasn't on the menu but they made up which was a really nice touch. The staff were friendly polite and credit to the management. The only thing I'd say they could be a wee bit quicker between courses. On the whole very good a would recommend to anyone, a real slice of Kent.

Many thanks for the review, glad you liked the Welsh rarebit - it's very popular for High Tea - I'll get them to speed up between courses

We've just visited this tried and trusted place yet again (Easter Bank Holiday Monday) and despite the COLD weather outside, as always we got a warm welcome inside. And as for the food.....well, once again, we weren't disappointed. Get there early though as lunchtime is often very busy - but worth the wait for a table.....I had a yummy Roast today ! Perfect :-
In fact, if you're a first time visitor to the delightful town of Tenterden in Kent and are looking for somewhere for Coffee, Lunch or Afternoon Tea, you'll surely be immediately drawn to the spectacular original Tudor building which is home to The Lemon Tree...and once inside, you wouldn't be disappointed. Not only is the building stunning (it's even got an original Tudor Rose emblem) but the food, atmosphere AND the staff are all quite delightful. A lovely place - highly recommend !

Traditional tea room in its decor and of course scones are available, in fact we had a lovely cheese and chive variety. But we shared a Banoffee Pie (which was huge), after deliberating between that and the lemon equivalent. Friendly staff and an OK price.

Passing through we called in at this restaurant for the first time for a lunchtime meal, we thoroughly enjoyed our food and were very impressed by the service by your friendly staff who could not have been more helpful. We would certainly visit again.
