Nice friendly pub. Large portions and good value for money. Landlady very welcoming and made us feel at home even though we are not local. Would recommend a visit.

Really nice pub. The food was lovely although the salad was a bit wilted. The garden was ok, could have been a bit tidier, the chairs have seen better days. There is a pile of wood in the corner, looks awful. Lovely land lady very friendly, the land lord was grumpy and was unpleasant to his wife. The rest of the staff were friendly and chatty. All in all a nice pub.

There are new managers at the Red Cow, and they are pretty hopeless. Went for a lunchtime snack, one other table was occupied, and just finishing their food. After 20 minutes asked where our food was (just a couple of baguettes), discovered that our order hadn't been passed to the kitchen..... when our food eventually arrived (annother 10 minutes) it wasn't exactly what we had ordered, but we were so hungry by then we ate it. We were given a drink on the house to compensate for the long wait, but we wanted food not drink! Don't know how they would cope if they had more than 2 customers.
