“'Superb , a wonderful experience'”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

This resturant has to be the best kept secret in Kent as when we arrived we were the only two people in the resturant and yet we were treated so well by all the staff ,they could not have done more for us . The food was outstanding and value for money , my mother had the haddock tarlette and slow cooked pork cheek and belly of pork , at 84 years old she stated this was the best meal she has had in a resturant , an accolade indeed.

This was wonderful experience and I will be returning with other family members. Thank you for making this a wonderful memory for my mother.

“Fabulous food, fabulous location!”
Reviewed March 1, 2013

The Lodge is nestled between the golf course and the sea- fabulous views. The Lodge has undergone a complete refurbishment to a very high standard. The rooms are comfortable and luxurious. The restaurant is plush and welcoming and the food is 'top-notch', We enjoyed a '5 course taster menu' which was fantastic, real quality. Sunday Lunch here is also well worth the trip!

“Tuesday not so hot”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

The food would have been much better if not reheated. It was not stale but not all fresh from the oven, the grill or pan.Spuds get a different taste when they go round a second time and edges dry out when portions have been pre-cut.
It was still great value (£12.50 ) but with only two yummy mummies for dinning companions one felt a little like a goldfish in a tank. As a result we did not stay for course number three ( £16.50)
If it is a quiet time (as when we visited) I would have appreciated them changing to a smaller menu and then letting the chef show off his skills on a"fresh daily basis."
Location an adventure to find but a great outing. Nice service, nearly very good however polite request, please use the coat tags or use hangers for heavy winter coats.
