“Blowy weekend in Margate”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

Lovely clean room, bed linen and towels all snowy white. Our room was at the back (31) and overlooked the car park and railway station but not a problem. Breakfast was expensive - £8.25 each but it was well cooked, plenty to choose from and you helped yourself to whatever you wanted. Any downside? Well yes - there is no free wifi unless you can manage with 30 minutes a day. If not, £3 per day which is way too expensive and is what it's going to cost you.

1 minute away from trainstation. stayed there for 2 nites on 10&11 september. Excellent sleep; no noise from trains or cars (had a room in the back). Very friendly staff. Clean and newly refurbished rooms. Overall very satisfied but a bit overpriced into my opinion (hence "average" score for value). As it is now, 10£ less per night would make it perfect value for money.

Fantastic location, just a few seconds from the train station and right near the seafront. The room was a good size, clean and a comfortable temperature. Reception staff were lovely and check-in was quick and easy. This place has to be the number one choice when choosing a place to stay in Margate!

Hotel overlooks the beach and railway station. Very rough weather the day I arrived but no noise in my room. Room warm but not uncomfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Recently refurbished with a 40 inch wall mounted TV in my room. Would stay again if in the area.

The hotel is ideally located across the road from Margate's sandy beach, and adjacent to the railway station.
We received a very friendly welcome and were pleased with our family room, which was immaculate. Although we overlooked the car park and the station, there was no noticeable noise from either.
There's a Brewer's Fayre restaurant in the same building - breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot and cold food, and helpful staff. Dinner was good value and the food of a reasonable quality. Several other eating places are within walking distance.
The only reason I haven't given this hotel an 'excellent' rating, and the only negative feature (I have to say it's a big one) is the lack of air conditioning. An electric fan was provided, but the room remained almost unbearably hot and stuffy, even though the outside temperature at night was quite cool. The windows open only two or three inches so there's no opportunity to let in that bracing sea air!

Comfortable and clean room. Met our expectations. Very convenient for the main beach, Old Town and the Turner Contemporary. I really liked the wardrobe/vanity unit in the room. Highly recommended. I needed to iron some clothes. Reception provided a good quality iron and ironing board.

Had a lovely stay in a family room. The room was nice, the TV massive with all the freeview channels but was very, very warm. There was a fan supplied which only helped a little as it was basically circulating already warm air. We had to have it on all night and it was noisy so none of us slept particularly well.

The hotel is very well located, the beautiful sandy beach is just opposite and is great for kids. There is a free car park which had plenty of space.

We ate at adjoining Brewers Fare. If you have kids this really is the place to go, there is an outside play area and for £2 an inside Play Factory which was brilliant, the staff were great, all of them.

I really hope that Premier Inn sort out some air conditioning as it really was the only thing that spoilt our stay.
