Premier Inn Margate Hotel

Having just spent 3 nights at The Promenade Premier Inn in Margate, I just have to say what tremendous value it was! The hotel was ideally situated at the quieter, open end of the promenade, next to the railway station and overlooking the sea. We were at the front of the hotel, but didnt really notice the trains running past the car park at the rear. We received a warm welcome, the room was spacious, very clean, modern, and had all the basics one expects for a short stay. The attached restaurant, Brewers Fayre, had different buffet themes each evening where you could eat as much as one wanted for under £10, along with a comprehensive menu. The breakfast menu was extensive, well cooked and presented, and excellent value. Above all tho, the majority of the staff were young but so helpful and courteous. They all really did go 'the extra mile'! I did research nearby bed & breakfasts but they didnt come anywhere near the standard and price of this hotel. Don't hesitate to book!

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear overlook the car park and railway line beyond altho the trains were hardly noticea...

Vety clean over entire hotel. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Can't wait to go back. Ideally located for people arriving be train, although remarkably quiet considering it's proximity to the station and for the famous beach and amusements.

At first, I wasn't a Premier Inn fan, but now we all are. We were greeted in well, the room was super clean, tidy and modern. We had a nice breakfast. The only problem is the Internet Connection. We had 30min of free WiFi, and then we decided to pay an extra of £3 for 24hrs. The connection was perfect, it was only that every 10 mins we had to re connect. But this reason is a very minor one. We really enjoyed it and would highly recommend for all families!

Room Tip: We got room 17 on the 1st floor. Very nice and quite! Super extremely clean!!

The hotel was easy to find, located near to the beach, nice to look out over the sea when eating breakfast - which was very good (good choice of food, eat as much as you want, not rushed and good quality). The room was clean and well presented - we had a family room which had two single beds and a double.

good location, next to station on seafront. nice room and good bathroom. very clean and bright. instant hot water, hand wash and imperial leather shower gel in dispensers. choice of pillows on a very large bed. Very helpful staff. breakfast served in Promenade bar was excellent with wide choice of full English or continental. We went back for lunch and found it good value. lift was a little slow but stairs were ok as only 2 floors.

Room Tip: 2nd floor , front/sea view.

Just spent two nights at this Premier Inn,travelled from Bristol to Margate by train, FGW to London, South Eastern Hi Speed to Margate.
The Hotel is right next door to Margate Station and sited on the Sea Front with a short 10 minute walk to Margates Shops.
This Premier Inn has very pleasant & helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. We booked the Meal Deal so had all you can eat Breakfast & a three course evening meal for £22.00 each per day. Really good choice of Menu for evening meal.

If you are thinking of visiting Hornby Museum and do not have a car the Thanet Loop (Bus) from Cecil Square takes you right to the door.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front have Sea Views, back rooms look over the Railway Line

Thank you so much - I have stayed in some rotten places before but this was great, clean, handy for the beach, a nice spacious room for us and our son and the beds were so comfortable. The staff were so nice - they put my husband's bacon on for longer to make it crispy. I would agree though that even on a chilly weekend it was hot in the room. But that didn't spoil it for us. And the nice restaurant manager is very helpful.
