Spent three nights in this cosy apartment, which was within easy walking distance of the the town, restaurants and beach. Having a parking space was also a bonus. Comfy beds, fluffy towels and enough in the kitchen to cook etc. if needs be. Limited TV channels, but we were out most of the time anyway, so not really an issue for us. Owners next door, so on hand if needs be. Would recommend this to a couple or family of four. Owner communication was very good. All in all, very happy.
Very approachable host, nothing was too much trouble. The apartment was very clean and had everything you needed for your holiday stay and more. There was plenty of storage and we did not experience issues with wardrobe space. Also we did not have a problem with plugging in hair dryers by irons etc, there were plenty of sockets etc. This apartment has an excellent roof Terrance with great views overlooking the sea.
There is free parking on site and very secure, in fact one of the most secure places we've stayed in holiday rentals. We noticed in one review there were issues with the underground parking that it was not well lit up and smelt, however we did not experience any of these issues.
The lovely beach is just a short stroll away.
We are looking forward to our next stay in margate at this apartment and would highly recommend it to others.
Flat was near Margate and complex and surrounding gardens in the complex were well kept. The flat is nice the furniture is of a good quality. Was very near beach but you cannot access it from flat you have to walk all way round. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. Lovely sunsets from conservatory and was nice for bbqs. Don't get me wrong we had a lovely holiday and the flat is nice but certainly not 5 star.
This flat initially seemed lovely. On closer inspection it had far too many knick knacks and the conservatory was cluttered and not very clean. The penthouse conservatory actually is nice but very overlooked by two neighbouring conservatories. No dressing table or plug near a mirror in one bedroom (my pet hate ) and no wardrobe in other bedroom. Toilet in main bathroom was constantly blocked no window either so was very claustrophobic.Surrounding area outside of flat complex was very shabby. Underground carpark was badly lit and smelt of urine.
We never go to the same place twice - but we came back here! Even if we go back to an area, we rarely stay in the same town, and definitely not the same accommodation. We like to see places we've not seen before, have new experiences. So why did we come back here? Simple answer would be, that if we owned a holiday home, Sunset Penthouse would be it. As soon as we went through the front door, it felt like home. Tracey and Trent have furnished the apartment with the sort of things you'd like to buy for your own home - but don't. Its all practical, just more emphasis on the style than absolute practicality. The master bedroom has a chest of drawers that looks lovely, perhaps it could be bigger, but it wouldn't look so good. The dressing table looks great, but is probably smaller than yours at home. Maybe it could have a wardrobe, but the armchair looks so much better. This is a holiday apartment, not somewhere to spend 50 weeks a year in - it screams out "enjoy yourself", and be comfortable. The kitchen has everything, including a dishwasher (wonderful) and a washing machine (mmm, we're on holiday, leave it 'till we get home!). A proper sized TV, not some 24inch thing that you can't see and sounds awful, and comfortable seating that means you can spend the evening watching TV - if you must. Then up the stairs, fairly steep, by Trent tells me there will be a handrail for the 2017 season which will make a BIG difference. Into the conservatory on the roof - again, made to be homely with a small metal table, chairs and a parasol - yes we are still inside but it feels so right. Then through the double doors onto the roof. View of the sea and beach to die for. Yes its by the sea so its often windy, but over the 3 weeks in total weve stayed there, you can always find a spot sheltered from the wind. If the sun's out, no need to go anywhere else, if its raining, sit in the conservatory, which is all glass walls, and you still feel as if you are outside. Nobody mentions the ceilings in the main rooms. The builders divided the space making one very high room into 2 floors and as this apartment is on the "new" first floor, it has the benefit of the original, blue tiles ceilings. Only some of these ceilings can be seen, some have been covered up, but all the better, it makes this place so special. This apartment is not furnished or decorated to live in, its to holiday in. It feels as though it's someones home, but its not, its somewhere that helps you forget your normal life, and relax and enjoy a holiday.
Oh and by the way, wonderful walks east or west on the everlasting prom, Broadstairs a must see town, walk on the prom ontop of the cliff overlooking the beach, then lunch in the Tartare Frigate in the harbour - upstairs in the retaurant - wonderful fish dishes (but not cheap). Ramsgate Seafront and marina worth a look. Spitfire and Hurricane Museum at Manston first class - and a good cafe. White cliffs of Dover National Trust - watch the ferries, can't beleive how interesting that is, and good walks available there. Dad - like DIY? Opposite the apartments is the best Toolshop you could wish to see, DeWalt power tools at internet prices! Oh yes, nearly forgot Herne bay and Whitstable too.
So Wonderful apartment, kept in excellent condition, quirky, interesting and charming furniture, perfect for a holiday.
p.s. I hope you're lucky and get at least one "Turner" sunset, they are worth the visit on their own.

Lovely apartment. First two days (great) loved rooftop terrace. Such peace and tranquilty.
Mon onwards nightmare, in moved two diggers and two conveyor belts right outside lounge/bedroom window. Woken up at 7.45am. Continued through until 5.30pm. Would have appreciated warning by owner and could have chosen to stay elsewhere or should have been offered reduced rate. Holiday nightmare.
