“Lovely Sunday Escape”
Reviewed August 18, 2014

we took advantage of the hotels Sunday night special, which was exceptionally good value for money. We had a lovely room, décor to a very high standard, bathroom with a wet room which worked very well and no water in the bedroom! Our package included a cream tea, which was a very generous 2 scones per person and a pot of tea, you had traditional strawberry jam as well as lemon curd, which went surprisingly well! Our breakfast in the morning was also lovely, wide choice for both the continental buffet and the full English. all in all I would recommend this hotel for a get away location.

A beautiful modern, clean ,comfortable hotel. They have done it really well and paid attention to every little detail including little personal touches.
The restaurant food was delicious , the view lovely , the service attentive .They couldn't do enough to help to make our experience a good one and our stay a happy one .The reflexology was a good experience too. Some other kinds of treatments would be nice and maybe a heater on the amazing roof terrace with breathtaking sea views - but otherwise couldn't fault it . The town view room was lovely and although I had hoped for a sea view room it wasn't completely necessary with brilliant views from restaurant and roof top. It's a great place - we would really recommend it and would love to return some day !

So, this was my second stay this year. firstly in June for my Birthday (2 nights) and July for 1 night during Margate Soul Weekend (1st two nights at another Margate Hotel). In June we had room #1 which is has a balcony with fabulous views across the margate sands, to the left is the seafront with it's arcades etc. leading to the Dreamland entrance (hopefully soon to be reastored!!) and to the right is Margate Harbour. This time we had a sea view room (#9 i believe) which although no balcony has the same great views from the window (not a large window note). The rooms are very well appointed with large comfortable beds and all the usual extra's (tea, coffee, hot chocolate if you have the turn down service!). I must say at this time that the tea in the room is particularly good (Jing) - loose leaf tea in a bag - quality!
The roof terrace is open to residents which has stunning views and comfortable all weather seating and tables. You can also book massage, reflexology etc. to be taken on the roof or in your room. Restaurant is very light and airy and the food is good as is the breakfast!
I hope the level of service and quality remains the same for time to come.
Oh yes - Turner centre and Margate Old Town round the corner and two penny slots along sea front!!

We booked here for one night through the website Crisp White Sheets prior to a British Isles Cruise from Dover.
We took advantage of the "Super Sunday" offer which was extremely good value and included a complimentary cream tea, dinner, bed and breakfast for £75.00 pp. All the sea view rooms were booked but we were more than happy with our room which was beautifully furnished with top of the range fixtures and fittings.
The view from the dining room window which extended across the full width of the room was magnificent and we ate our delicious meal as the sun set over the bay. A truly beautiful setting.
All the public areas of this hotel are spotlessly clean and very tastefully presented. The food is absolutely delicious and freshly prepared and all the staff very friendly and helpful.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms have a fantastic view. Town side rooms are also very nice.

I stayed here for two nights - I was looking for a relaxing break in Margate. The hotel is on the seafront so you have a great view across the beach. The rooms are very stylish, well appointed and I have to say - one of the most comfortable beds I have ever had in a hotel! The staff are a real credit to this hotel. They are all young, enthusiastic and nothing is too much trouble. There are two lovely terraces - one an extension of the restaurant and the other exclusively for residents on the roof - lovely to have a glass of wine up there and watch the sunset. There is a good breakfast with both continental and cooked options. We dined in the hotel restaurant on Saturday night - I am glad we pre-booked, as it was busy. I have to say the food was wonderful - probably the best lamb I have ever tasted. This is a great boutique hotel that really works hard to make sure their guests have an enjoyable experience - well done!

Room Tip: You dont need a sea view room as you have two great terraces for the view.

I joined my relatives who were staying 2 nights for dinner in the dining room with a fabulous view out to sea. Watching the sun go down as the evening became night was a wonderful experience. The table was booked for 8 but 2 more turned up and the attentive staff fitted them in warmly. The meal was expertly prepared and every course delivered on time, even though the 10 of us made a varity of choices across the menu. The staff looked after us expertly throughout , paying attention not only to the meal, but our comfort and enjoyment as well. I shouldn't mention names, as every staff member treated us professionally, but Charleen went over and above with her careful watchfulness and responses to our needs. Also Mat who ran the bar and dealt with our demands without a flinch, on every occasion. He even charged my phone for me during the meal without any problem. Both of these 2 along with the wonderful view and food, ensured we had a fabulous evening . Thank you particularly to them for their warmth, professionalism and natural hospitality. A great evening , highly recommended.

Once you have found it ( go for the entrance in the own way High Street, rather than Marine Parade), you will be given a most helpful and pleasant welcome. Thanks to the directions given by the staff, the car park was relatively easy to find.
Our room (no9) had an excellent sea view, was fully air conditioned and was most comfortable. The roof top terrace was a great place to relax with a beer or bottle of wine, but regrettably there was no shade!
All meals were very good, but perhaps just a little pricey.
The staff were brilliant with nothing too much trouble for them. However, just a little nit picking:-
We stayed two nights but despite preordering our newspapers, we had to chase. To be helpful, we pointed out a large coffee/,chocolate stain on the bedspread ( we were not the culprits!)' it was taken away, but never replaced. The music in the Dining Room was too loud ( and perhaps a little too modern). Service at breakfast was slow, this seemed to be a problem with the kitchen and not the serving staff, who were excellent throughout.

Room Tip: Go for a sea view room, rather than pay extra for a sea room with a verandah
