I have been here for a traditional cream tea, which I have to say was very well presented and not at all badly priced, a very generous helping in all. It definitely makes you feel spoilt with the general atmosphere and traditionally dressed staff. The museum side was interesting but not very well categorised, with many things that didn't seem to fit. The owner is always prepared to explain things to you and tell the story behind the objects displayed. She is very dedicated and holds all sorts of interesting functions there, like a 1940's ball/weddings etc. The rooms of the hotel contain original beds etc, which I don't think I myself would be prepared to sleep in, but each to their own. Worth a visit, very nice people, and atmosphere, overlooking the beaches. and amazing meals.

A beautiful collection of memories. In an extraordinary hotel. Stay for afternoon tea. You'll be glad you did.

Brilliant, the whole hotel is a working museum. Do however read the leaflet whilst there and not when you get back to the hotel as I found I had missed out on seeing one whole floor.

The only thing this hotel has left is it aging quirkiness........food like going back to the 80s......if you like that sort of thing you'll enjoy this place. Waitress had a very stained skirt on when serving lunch....eeewwww

This is easily the best hotel in Margate. The rooms are clean and well decorated. The hotel itself has a really quirky feel, its stuffed full of weird & wonderful items, that have no particular theme, but are all very interesting and donated by local people.

We often go just for afternoon tea, the lounge is really old England with bags of character, and if its sunny there are tables and chairs outside. Sunday lunch is a must, though you have to book, as its always full.

The staff are all very friendly, and its well worth a visit.
