Warm welcome even though we arrived early, great room overlooking the sea. Nice big bed. Room was spotless and had everything you needed.

We enjoyed pre-dinner drinks in the cosy warm lounge with the other guests. Dinner was excellent; chef cooked a special vegetarian menu for us. The food tasted amazing and it came to the table piping hot. My only negative comment would be I found the conservatory where dinner was served a little cool so take a wrap.

Hotel was quiet through the night and no external lights to keep you awake.

Breakfast was cooked to order and hot and tasty.

We look forward to returning.

Previous positive posts reflect well our impressions, friendly welcome, comfortable accommodation, excellent staff and superb food. Our dietary requirements were met easily and the effort put into the fixed menu dinner to meet that was exemplary. The standard set ensured a relaxing indulgent break and attention to detail was fantastic, breakfast was super, piping hot and the homemade marmalade was fantastic. We hope to return at some point in the future we wish Lisa,Clinton and Oscar every success for the coming year.

Played golf at Littlestone and stayed overnight at this hotel as part of a deal. An absolute gem, very friendly people, great rooms and a magnificent breakfast, 8 of us stayed overnight and enjoyed a really leisurely late evening session, sitting in comfy chairs, chatting and drinking.
We may have got soaked and blown to bits on the golf course, but the service at the hotel more than made up for it. Next time I am in the area I will stay again

Flying visit to show my wife where we used to holiday as a child.

Having stayed in many guest houses, i can say the Hotel, and breakfast, are probably the best we have ever had.

Bedding and towels pristine White.

If you spend time on the Romney Hythe and Dimchurch railway, make sure you wash properly, before wipeing your hands, (Appologies Lisa).

Room Tip: As we booked late, only had a small double left, which was great for one night. Staying for longer...

I had the pleasure of having dinner with my Swiss friends who were staying at the Romney Bay House Hotel. The hotel is right on the sea front with unspoilt views of the sea and coastline.
The service and quality of the food was amazing. The meals are cooked by the owner and served by his wife. It was very professional and the food was to die for. The set meal, only option, consisted of fresh fish over a savoury rice, the most tender duck I have ever tasted for the main course and a lovely variation of a creme brule for dessert. This was followed by cheese and biscuits.
I really recommend this hotel for a wonderful dinner experience. Dinner is available for non residents.

We stopped here for two nights as I was attending a flying day at Lydd airport, approx 10 mins away. I found the hotel on trip-advisor and booked it for its location. It was very quirky -all alone on the seafront looking like something from an Agatha Christie novel ! Isolated but a lovely get away. The room was lovely, clean and warm ! Kettle, cups, tea and coffee in the room, with a little box of biscuits :) there was a honesty bar ! Andalusia nice sitting room to relax where newspapers were available in the morning. The icing on the cake was the amazing food we were served of an evening £40 per head for three courses followed by a cheese plate. We have been lucky enough to eat in some great restaurants and the food here was right up there with the best. Can't speak highly enough of what we ate, and the breakfasts were just as good. So if you want a getaway that's a little different but well worth a try, this place is a must - massive thank you to the owners and staff for a great weekend :)

This was an impromptu stay last summer when we felt like a break away having cancelled a prior engagement. We liked the idea of Kent but could find nothing at short notice until some diligent web searching and the good hotel guide (I think) pointed us in the direction of this place. Couldn't have been a better choice, it was superb. The food was excellent, in some ways unusual, creative, but not insubstantial; blended with just the right amount of host contact and a lovely room with a view straight out to sea, it doesn’t get any better.
Just a shame we chose to only eat in one night. We plan to go back in the winter soon to experience some lashing seas and winds in this isolated but thrilling location.
Oh, and it’s a great place to start bike rides from, especially indirection of Hyde and Dungeness.

(Note the date of our visit was July 2012, didn't have choice to enter earlier then Sept.)

Room Tip: Chose the four poster - view the sea from bed in the morning or relax in the comfy armchairs with a...
