“For the over 60's”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

First time eating here, will probably be the last. It's clean and presentable but the whole place is dated, overpriced and has no atmosphere at all. The staff were friendly enough although one foreign girl didn't seem to understand much English. The drinks were overpriced too. It's a four star hotel with a 2 star restaurant.

“tea for 12”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

I booked a cream tea and swim for 12 about a month ago. I confirmed with several people.
They supplied a full afternoon tea in error but it was fabulous. Choice of teas and coffee, beautiful presentation and helpful friendly staff. Joe and Andy were great. The food was delicious and plentiful. Recommend this as a treat.

“Birthday Celebration”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

On Boxing Day we invited 40 guests to the Imperial Hotel for lunch to celebrate my wife's birthday. The occasion was made very special by the professional organisation prior to the event and by the care and consideration shown by the team of staff to all the guests on the day. Many people commented on the friendly service and the excellent quality of the food. The staff could not have been more helpful and attentive.

“New Years Eve - BRILLIANT!!!”
Reviewed January 2, 2013 via mobile

WHAT A GREAT NIGHT! I visited the Hythe Imperial on new years eve with my family and friends and we couldn't fault the service. We pre-ordered the food and had various 'fussy eaters' within our party who asked for slight variations to be made to the set menu - this was not a problem, and we were all amazed when everybody's dinner arrived exactly how we had asked it to be, plus the food was perfect. There were party game boxes on the table which contained party poppers, giant balloons and streamers - we all thought this was a lovely idea as it really got everybody into the new years party spirit! Once the dinner was complete we moved upstairs to where the dance floor, live band and casino tables were (not to mention the £10 complimentary casino voucher we all received!!). There were various seating areas which allowed guests to sit close to the band or if they preferred a little further away, also the doors were open so you could access the front of the hotel by the sea, we did this and managed to see the fireworks further down the coast. The band were great and catered to music for all ages and had everybody up dancing and enjoying themselves. Finally when midnight rolled around there were balloons released from the ceiling and more streamers and party poppers on the table..and the dancing continued late into the night! Would reccomend new years eve here to anybody, well worth the money! Thank you for an amazing night!!!

“festive afternoon tea”
Reviewed December 4, 2012

After a seaside walk we booked in for a festive afternoon tea which was a delight. The table was beautifully laid. complete with crackers and christmas baubles and the whole thing was a lovely experience. A tasty tea and the service was superb and we have recommended it to family and friends.
