We arrived on Saturday lunchtime and was greeted by Margaret who owns the Malt Guesthouse and made us feel very welcome. We had the large loft room and it was lovely, very very clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. Margaret gave us good advice for our walks around Hythe and the surrounding areas. She also recommended us a wonderful restaurant, Everest Inn which was located approximately 100yds from The Malt Guesthouse. We would most definately stay again at this Guesthouse and recommend this establishment to anyone who wants to explore the Kent coast. Thank you for a wonderful weekend break. Dawn & Steve from Beckenham, Kent

I have stayed several times now for me the Malt Guesthouse really works.
Well appointed rooms in an interesting building with Hythe High Street literally on the doorstep and plenty of parking a few yards away. There being no breakfast is no hardship especially if you have enjoyed one of the many good restaurants in walking distance . For me The Everest Gurka restaurant with tandoori lambs chops is worth the trip alone! Oh and if you must have breakfast the Cafe at The famous Romney + Hythe railway is minutes away has does a great one!

Smart , clean & ideal location and although car parking might need some thought the owner was was extremely helpful in ensuring that we managed OK. The continental breakfast provided was more than adequate. - Highly recommended.

Stayed at the weekend for the first time at The Malt Guesthouse, we were made to feel welcome instantly and the room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We will definitely stay again, hopefully in the not too distant future!

We stay at the homely Malt Guest House around 4-5 times a year for a weekend break and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Hythe. It is perfectly situated for exploring the town and Margaret creates a wonderful home from home without being intrusive. We love it!

This guesthouse is an excellent place to stay while in Hythe. It is conveniently located at one end of picturesque "High Street" and has parking. Margaret, (the owner), is very helpful. A pleasant stay.

We chose the Malt because of good reviews on Trip Advisor. We spent two happy days here and Margaret made us very welcome. She even arranged free car parking. The room was spotless and very comfortable, with an interesting outlook over a town street. We could prepare our own food in the room and Margaret did our washing up. We wish we could have stayed longer, and are happy to recommend this guesthouse to everyone.
