Have you ever dreamed of sleeping in Lord Astor's room at Hever Castle ? This dream could come true if you ask for the "Tulip" room and are lucky enough to get it . It is the most luxurious and impressive bedroom we have ever seen . Residents of the B&B have free access to Hever Castle and the grounds , and have the grounds for their exclusive use after and prior to public access . The excellent breakfast is served by a young and very friendly staff wearing white gloves in just another grand woodpanelled room with a huge fireplace . Hope that my dream will come true again soon .

Room Tip: Tulip Room , which used to be Lord Astor's bedroom .

Me and my now fiancee had a fantastic stay, it is a very friendly and romantic setting. The rooms are very comfortable and they have not been shy with making the rooms look stunning. The gardens open all hours for guests at the B&B and i stole that oppotunity to propose. The breakfast was absolutly perfect, with great tasting food and location. I would recommend this B&B to any one that is looking for a romantic get away... beats Paris anyday!

Took my mum here for mother's day and she was overwhelmed by the whole experience, three generations had a wonderful time. Staff charming , from the gentleman who met us in the car park to all reception staff. Nothing too much trouble and a very proffesional and personal approach. Amazing Primrose feature room with stunning bathroom and superb breakfast. The snowdrop trail in the exquisite grounds all to ourselves after public access closed was a once in a lifetime experience. I cannot recommend highly enough thank you to all the wonderful people at Hever, you are as exceptional and unique as the beautiful, historic castle and grounds.

Room Tip: Primrose room - enormous with fabulous bathroon suite

Very good in many ways but could be improved a little. The location is exceptional; we particularly enjoyed being able to walk around the garden grounds before and after normal opening times. The breakfast was very good other than being served in a cold room and intrusive music being payed for no apparent reason. You need to remember that this is a B&B and not a hotel so don't expect a bar but there is a very good pub just up the road. Our room was very nice but perhaps not as clean as you would expect for the price. Overall, very much recommended.

Thank you for your review. I am pleased to read that you enjoyed the gardens and grounds. I am also pleased to read that you had a great breakfast, my apologies if you found the room a little cold, we would usually have the log fires lit when required which heats up The Tudor Suite beautifully. With regards to the music, this should only be provding background sound, I will check the settings to make sure the volume level hasn't been changed.

We recently stayed here for our Anniversary and we were not disappointed. The B & B was warm and welcoming both in accommodation and staff.
Wonderful room, beautiful surroundings and a Castle on the door step, what more could you want!?
We had dinner at King Henry VIII pub, which is almost at the end of the drive which really added to the whole experience.
We really can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Hazel which although wasn't the biggest was beautiful with a luxury bathroom wi...

We stayed for my wife's 40th birthday last week in the Hever Castle B&B in the Astor Wing of the castle, built just over a century ago in a mixture of Tudor and something resembling Scots baronial style. We really couldn't fault it in any way. The upkeep and maintenance are exceptional, and the attention to detail in the rooms is superb. Ours (the Tulip suite) was wood-panelled throughout with walnut furniture, leaded windows, four-poster bed, vaulted pargetted plaster ceiling, lovely lighting with nice little touches like LED bedtime reading lights for each guest. Our bathroom was beautiful, the shower a positive delight. The views are of the grounds of the castle, and even the corridors and "communal" areas such as the old music room (now set out for reading newspapers etc) are wood-panelled with silver fittings and plush carpet. The dining room, if not quite Hogwarts, is like the masters' common room from many an Oxford college. The staff are exceptionally good and friendly, the parking's right next to the reception, and at no extra charge - we've been annoyed to find many hotels charge extra these days on top of a high room charge. For £160 a night all in, this is far better value than I've had at any four- or even five-star hotel I've stayed in, where I've often felt that the price isn't quite matched by the reality.

The castle advertises itself as Anne Boleyn's childhood home, and guests get free tickets to the castle and grounds. Anne apparently died young, and If the food at the B&B is anything to go by I'm not surprised - she probably died of a heart attack, given that she must have had a very generous and delicious full English breakfast (unless she went for the kippers or porridge or scrambled eggs with smoked salmon etc etc options) every morning for 35 years!

We're already looking at our calendar to find an excuse to go back.

My mother and I have just returned from staying two nights in the Astor Wing at Hever. We'd booked a twin room but (although it was a lovely room) we didn't realise that although all rooms are en-usuite, some only have showers and we really preferred a bath. However, Kate (who showed us to our room) went out of her way to help and gave us another room immediately, which had a bath and shower, which was terrific! We truly can't fault this place - the location, accommodation, food and last but by no means least ALL of he staff are so welcoming that's it's an experience worth repeating time and time again. Thoroughly recommend it, if you're wondering if you should book it or not then stop wondering - just do it!! You won't be sorry.
