Even though it was a cold and blustery October day we enjoyed the beautiful gardens surrounding Hever Castle. We took refuge during a rainstorm in the restaurant by the lake and were delighted with the assortment of cakes and goodies we had to choose from to go with our cup of tea. The castle has a fascinating history from the Boelyns down to the Astors. The portrait collection was impressive. We'd love to return in the spring when I'm sure the gardens are stunning!
