Went here with my 6 year old, largely because of the kids eat free sign. Was expecting your standard fish n chip shop with melamine tables and a tomato shaped ketchup bottle, none of that here! Chandeliers and diamanté studded furniture made it a very chic surroundings. Had the cod which was really good with the mushy peas which were lush. The staff were really friendly and the prices are good. I was so disappointed my husband wasn't there that I will be returning very soon! Excellent all round, good for you.

Visited this fish restaurant-had cod, chips and mushy peas with a nice glass of house white.
Food not only tasty good, was presented well, staff were good and service was great.

Went to mushy peas as a family group of 9 with 3 kids. No one in there despite seafront being busy. You would have thought they'd be grateful for business but the waitress just moaned about prams!! Food took ages and chips were cold and pasty. We won't be returning, disappointed.

Another excellent meal at this wonderful place, calamari starter, fish and chips to follow. All cooked beautifully, excellent service, waiter couldn't have been more attentive.

This was our third visit here so I had no problem suggesting it for a double birthday celebration, there were 11 of us, among our guests were a family of three from Barbados and a lovely couple from Sweden. I knew they had steak on the menu as well as kebabs and calamari (which I had last time and loved). We all shared olives and pitta with humus while we chose our mains, it was then we were informed there was no calamari and no steak at all! We managed to find alternatives, cod & chips and kebabs mostly. We then waited 45 minutes for the food to arrive, while we waited we ordered beers & wine. The kebabs were a bit dry, we asked for salt as all the pots on the table were all empty, I think they went too another shop for it as they did when one guest asked for salad cream. The music kept jumping and had to be switched off. We were given a free bottle of wine as the staff were embarrassed at this point, it wasn't their fault, maybe they should have been given better training. There was no towel in the toilets. No other guests in that evening so atmosphere was missing. We should have been informed before we were seated about the items missing from the menu....then we could have gone to the Ship at least!
